It occurs to me that Romo is the offensive genius, not the coaches

The quality of your arguments isn't getting any better, dude.

Amazing how my arguments continue to get worse in your mind, yet you cant prove them wrong and your theories get proven wrong from week to week.

Just keep saying that I am wrong, maybe one day it will actually happen. :lmao2:

What you fails to grasp in some here is the frusterations of Cowboy fans who do not question his great play and individual stats butt his complete and udder futility in the playoffs. That is, on the rare years he leads this team to the playoffs.
Yes, silly Cowboys fans who pine for a championship. At this point, like you, some here would settle for him getting a 3rd CAREER playoff win. Heck even reaching the playoffs would be something.
I like championships.Do you?
Do other top-tier QBs half playoff wins? Yes, lots. There is even one who half more Sper Bowel wins than he half playoff wins.
Do not misundertake dissent for disloyalty. There is no hate because hate spelt backwards is etah which is Indonesian for frustration.
Ok what is a mantra. I am a JC tranfer and dont half a dictionery handy. but google say it does so I will look it up.
I hope it is a clean word, mister Silver Words guy.

I certainly dont settle for anything. But it should be quite clear to anyone that understands QB play and the game that Romo has done the best with what he had. Give him a top run game and BAM, instant championship contender. We were ONE blown Dez call away from going to the championship game.

And you can see quite clearly this year that the team is completely toast without Romo. Now just because I can comprehend the importance of Romo in that equation and you cant doesnt make me settle for anything.

And let us not forget that horrid coaching of Wade and Garrett Romo has had to play through virtually wasting his career. With Garrett at the helms of the offense for 7 years it was a disaster waiting to happen.

And how can we forget the horrible trades and drafting of Jerry Jones up until 3 years ago when Clay got here.

As you Romo haters have always done, you blame the wrong guy. If that isnt abundantly clear to you by now, it never will be.

Remember when Romo signed his new contract and Jerry said we're going to give him more control over the offense? It occurs to me that it's not Linehan or Garrett who were the brains behind our premier offense last season, but rather Tony. The drop off since he got hurt has been stunning. I realize a lot of that has to do with his talent, but he's got to be one of the top in the league at recognizing defenses and knowing what the offense needs to do. I think he's been operating at a Peyton Manning level regarding strategy - recognizing defenses and knowing the right play to call.

The only credit I give to Linehan and Garrett is getting out of the way and letting Tony do his thing. But who knows? Maybe Jerry told them they had to, and Jerry actually deserves the credit. To be honest, when Jerry said that a few years ago I was skeptical it was a good plan, but I've got to give him props on getting Tony more authority over the offense.

I guess that means Emmitt Smith must have been the offensive guru when he played because Jimmy Johnson could not win games without him. Amazing what losing top players will do to an offense, always has always will. Jimmy was considered great yet explain how when anyone of the triplets were out of games his teams had a losing record? In Dallas case we have been without our top QB, our Top WR and multiple injuries on the defensive front.

This is why I thought Moore should've been given a shot in the Saints game. He is the closest thing we have to Romo as far as reading defenses and going through progressions.

Def in the NE game. It was obvious BW was done. Should have made a change at the half.

There is a big difference between a losing record and a winless record. I do recall a one Jason Garrett throwing for like 500 yards in a win vs GrennBay without Aikman. Too bad Garrett is an even worse coach than he was a backup QB.

Cant make a change in either the NO game or ATL game. We were leading both at the half. Cant yank BW in the 4th and put in the greenbean to win the game. At the half is the time you make a QB change. And that was not an option in either game.

There are a million reasons that Romo half not won more than 2 career playoffs wins, yes.

But at some point, the couldhalfbeens and the wouldhalfbeens . . . at havetime or when it is 2 minutes until the end of the game, nobody care about all that Romo half been without, be it coaches, defenses, running game or the stars not alining the way you want them.

I like championships. Do you? I like them at leave every 10 years. How long half romo been here?
And yeth, Romo cant do it bye hisself, but at some point we need to recognize his age and injury reports and bad luck he half in the playoffs and then . . . hey, guess what we need a young QB for the future.

That is what keep me going. That and the fajitas at Anita's and the burgers at Benny's Burger Barn.

It occurs to me that Romo knows how to read a defense and make adjustments, not the other QBs.

Romo has aged like fine wine.

I like most of the rest of us fans knows Romo is the whole Franchise.

Losing him was terminal to our season.

I hope he comes back and plays well.

We'll see.

Wow, hard to believe this has not been moved to the rant zone. Criticizing the coach is almost against the rules these days even if it gives our best player well deserved props.

No.

It was reported that the coaching staff pressed Tony to not audible out of run plays nearly as much last season.

Tony is a very bright QB, but he sometimes gets too cute and just has to run the play. All of that audibling works against the offense at times because those check with me's can cause communication problems, the defense can go on the snap of the ball an set up their blitz and coverage packages.

And he's at his best when he's throwing intermediate and deep passes. Short dink-n-dunk and getting YAC really isn't playing to his strengths. But, leave Romo to his own vices and we tend to become a dink-n-dunk team.

I think the problem we've had with the coaching staff over the years is that we have not tried to enough to steer away from Tony's weaknesses and have not steered things towards his strengths. The organization tends to think that we can have Tony play like Tom Brady or Peyton Manning instead of focusing on what talents and skills he has and play towards those.

How is your hero Garrett looking today? Cant even win one game without Romo. What a great head coach. LOL

And wow, another stellar week of amazing half time adjustments. LOL

3 picks, a special teams TD given up and a fumble to end the game. All 3 phases working to perfection. That must have been some kind of half time speech eh?

And that ground zero speech by Garrett. WOW!!! Sooooo effective.

And all this on a day when we actually rushed for over 200 yards and the defense played great. Looks like a Garrett led team is back to finding ways to lose every week.

Time to fire Howdy Doody

I agree with you. I hate it when he designs plays for interceptions and forces the players to throw it where they shouldn't. and why did he design the special teams to provide a seam for Harris to run through. those interception play designs have to change!!!

Wade "designed" plays this way and got fired. I guess poor team performance only applies to the Head Coached who we hate. Princeton Smart - Football Stupid is above any criticism. We love him. He is a great "Process Manager", "Clapper", and "Speech Writer/Speaker". It is a shame that JG can never be associated with being an excellent Head Coach who finds ways to WIN GAMES no matter what circumstances are put upon his Team.
