Went to get my driver's license renewed today and sat there waiting for 2 hours and then failed the damn eye test. 54 years old and I guess I'll have to get glasses. I didn't even realize I had an issue seeing but I couldn't read those letters to save my life.

Interesting. I went yesterday, my wait was about 40 minutes. I did not have to take an eye test. (43 years here) I also did the SecureID version so I can fly with my license in what was it 2018 or 2019 when they will require it or a password to fly within the US.

I also took Lasik, but that was I believe around 2000. My eyes came out at 20/25 though so they didn't get it perfect. I believe in the last year I've noticed a slight deterioration of site, but I could still easily pass the eye test.

The bad thing about Lasik and the like is it's better to get it while you're younger as your body heals better / faster. I believe as you get older doctors tend not be so apt for people to do it.

The nice thing is when your vision is corrected, you'll be absolutely stunned with how much better you can see. Honestly, you'll think you're part hawk

Mine went ok the last time I got new ones.
However I was laughing about some old guy in the office complaining about having to wear seat belts.
He was ranting about how they don't really save lives and he should not have to wear one.
Then is big argument at the end was...What happens if you have your seat belt on and you go into the river or a deep creek. And after that says...It's all a money racket.

I wanted to say..if you go in the river or water...you can hit one easy button to unhook the seat belt but just kept my mouth shut and apparently everyone else thought the same as they
were just shaking their heads but not saying anything lol.

Yes, it sucks getting old ..... but I still prefer it to the alternative.

A few years ago I was making fun of my older brother for not being able to read the newspaper. Then I woke up one morning and realized my arms had shrunk because I was no longer able to hold packages far enough away to read the fine print.

Had to reach for the reading glasses about 48-49. When I couldn't read the restaurant menu that was a sign. Since then I've noticed that when I don't have them on the font size on everything seems smaller.

Ug...got bronchitis under control and in turn seems to have helped get my back feeling better.

But I still have a clogged ear going on a month now that is worrying me.

Doc gave me antibiotics and said to take it with my flonase...still clogged.
So then take Sudafed PE with flonase (2 days now)...Still clogged.

Last time my ear clogged like this it eventually stayed clogged to the point I know I have lost some hearing in that one ear. Once in a great while It will open up for a few minutes and I am shocked at how loud and clear things are and then it clogs back up. I got used to it to a degree last time...Don't know if I will this time or not.

Still hope it gets fixed. However I have a hearing test and Ear Nose Throat doctor visit in the next couple months with the VA.

I think I was about 46-47 before I'd broke down to getting a pair of 150 readers, as I'd found my self sitting along side the road squinting to read directions on SSO's .
I'm up to 300 strength readers now,yet my d.o.t physical test I was still rating in like 20/15 in one eye and 20/20 in the other,,, now I know I can't pass that test and have been putting off taking it( cdl is suspended I'm sure, till I've addressed it)
I don't mean this to be taken in the wrong way, but I kinda noticed a distinct correlation in my degrading reading range vision and an increasing use of Viagra, as I was running a string at the time and ,,,er,,,ya! I think it's been a contributing factoro_O

(If you don't stop, you'll go blind)
