I was at the game last night and then rewatched it this morning, it was not as bad as some are making it out to be. It seems the coach's decided this game was not going to a dress rehersal as we thought. Here are some of my thoughts:

Seemed like they called the dogs off after the 1 quarter or so. Didn't look like we were near as aggressive in the 2nd and 3rd quarter as we were in the beginning of the game.

That seam route to witten for the TD was open all night, but they didn't call it. Seems they were working on other things and not going to highlight the TE for this game.

Looked like we concentrated on running between the tackles more this game, very few stretch plays. We also ran behind the left side of the line a lot in short yardage.

The play that summed it all up for me last night was when the score was 21-13 and we had moved the ball down inside the 10 yd line. Brad J was in at QB. They ran TT over the left side on 3rd and 3 or so instead of trying to pass the ball. That tells me they were in evaluation mode.

Relax people.. this will be a good team this year and a fun season.

This probably was happening to some extent. It's hard to tell because Wade looked like he wanted this game. However, that could also very easily be the look of someone who wanted better execution from his team.

The thing that concerned me the most was that the Texans kept hitting us with the same running play, over and over, and we couldn't seem to stop it (the play that was the 47 yard run). It didn't matter who was in the game at defense, we just couldn't stop that play. Then when we got ready to stop the play, they did the reverse.

The second most concerning point was the crappiness of our backup CBs...

Very nice analysis. Not sure why this thread didn't get more love.
