The thing is...most of the things said about Tony here and around the world are all true:

1. Is he an amazing out-of-this-world talent? Yes.
2. Does he seem to fade in some big games. One could easily make that argument.
3. Are Romo's numbers historic, top-tier? Yes!
4. Can Tony make up for the inadequacies of his team and front office? Yes! And No!
5. Does Romo play well in the 4th quarter? Among the very best. Stats to prove it.
6. Does Tony play his best in the last 3 minutes of a game? It doesn't seem like it. No.
7. Isn't it only fair to say Tony has been the victim of ill-timed drops, poorly run routes and lineman that knock into him at the most inopportune times? Absolutely.

Did Romo have one of the greatest singular games in NFL history on Sunday? YES!
Did Romo deliver when he most needed to? NO!

Is Tony loved? Yes!
Is Tony hated? Yes!

The volume of mindless, stupid hate with some fans makes absolutely zero sense. And the volume some will go to defend him in each and every instance makes equally little sense. But then that's Tony.

It's all true.

I think Jerry feels the same way. Romo is like a woman; Can't live with them, can't live without them.......

No, it's not all true. Some of the haters say Romo is incapable of leading this team to a playoff victory, much less a Super Bowl. That's ignorance personified. Eli is playing horribly. His team is 0-5. Is it Eli's fault? I don't think so. The rest of the team, defense and special teams is playing badly. He's trying to make up for his team deficiences and forcing things. The NFL is the utlitmate team sport.

He does deserve some blame for his late game mishaps. He also doesn't receive a lot of credit for his great games and come-from-behind victories or his 4th qtr passer rating, etc, etc. Sunday was the perfect setup to negate some of the criticism yet he only fueled the fire.

Is there one other QB playing now that would have led this team to a victory Sunday? I think not. Romo was lights out and I have never seen Brees, Rodgers or Brady play like that, he was near perfect. Heck, I have never seen Peyton play like that. Romo was better than Manning(no, not Eli) that day except the final score does not reflect it.

In Romo I trust, ever since that sunny afternoon in San Fran, I vowed to not let my support dissipate. He is going nowhere anytime soon. He does frustrate me at times while also wowing me.

It's a cruel world where tony romo is 2-3 and geno smith is 3-2.

Nobody thinks Romo is an out of this world talent.

Otherwise this post is true

Some do. Some really smart people think exactly this.

No. Nobody does. Difference between talent and product. When you say he's talented it means he's physically gifted.

If anything, Romo lacks ideal traits but makes up for it in other areas in a big way.

So no. He's definitely NOT an out of this world talent. Out of this world talents don't go undrafted

But then Tom Brady went in the 6th round. So there are some parallels there.

Romo is pretty obviously physically gifted and talented. Try again.

When I think talent I think physical attributes. Brady doesn't fit the bill either. He's an out of this world player-but not talent.

The physical freaks are the out of this world talents.

Either way, whether you're talking finished product or just physical traits, Romo isn't an out of this world talent for either.

Ryan Leaf went in the first round, .. the draft is no exact science.

I don't use it as a measuring stick when looking at a players talent.

Romo > Leaf

More Talent doesn't mean better. I never said it did.

The problem with your post is that T-RO stated that some people "believe" that he is, and you replied that he is wrong because Romo is not. These are two VERY different things.

Mike Vick is an out of this world talent. And he sucks
