Why is there so much get rid of Garrett talk? The offense had a some issues through the season but hey, how many teams don't? This guy has made the offense a pretty good ball control team.

Keeping opposing offenses off the field worked pretty well for them. Don't think for a minute those two shutouts were all solely because of the defense. When the other team only gets the ball for 20 minutes in a game, guess what? Your defense can look pretty good.

The Cowboys are getting close. they're just a couple players away. They're lucky they have Free ready to replace Columbo. One less position to worry about. The staff is really pretty good. If Newman can keep from falling apart, which really worries me. And Flozell can go one more year while they groom someone, they might be better next year.

Washington is rebuilding.
Giants are a defensive mess.
Philly knows they can't beat Dallas.
Farve is one and done.
Warner's probably gone.

Who's left? GreenBay and New Orleans

I like those odds.

I'm for keeping him around this year, but there are things that have to change on O. Being 2nd in yards and middle of the pack in scoring is just glaring for starters. Also, he needs to recognize drive killers and some of his play-calls like the Razorback at the 10 this past weekend and bringing MBIII in are just drive-killers.

I like some of the things that he does and really thought he had it figured out...but wonder that now. Like that other article said, once he called plays that required longer drops was when it all went haywire and he never opted out of it.

Also, being one of the top teams in YPA running the ball but middle of the pack in attempts....

Things like that.

Keep him this year but if he shows a lack of progress, let him go....but that goes for any coach....I hate stagnation. Progress...not Regress! Needs to use weapons better....FJ!

You know...the normal reasons....

But don't worry, there are probably some here (I'm sure there are) that will also defend him to the end. That's fine as long as they use facts to back it up I don't mind.

It has something to with the game that was called yesterday. We were a couple of years away in 2006. JG's offense has problems scoring, personnel packages are suspect and he seems to have a stubborness with his play calling. When something clearly is not working you have to adjust. It was obvious their D-line was to fast for the draws and tosses yet that is what we decided to run which stalled out about 3-4 drives. When JG is on he's great, when he's off, he goes down in flames. He's to up and down.

Why would Favre be one and done?

Just had his best year ever.

Brooking will probably attack Favre's knees next season, so it will probably end there.

OK. *Shrugs shoulders* :)

Another year, another completely inept offensive performance to end the season.

He had no answers for what Minnesota was doing, it was like he diddnt even watch film or prepare.

I like Garrett, is he perfect? No, but I think he will improve over time. I think he will be a good head coach one day. I remember when alot of people here wanted Sean Payton, Tony Sparano and Mike Zimmer out of here and they turned out to be good coaches. I think Garrett got better as this season went along and I think in another year or two, he will be ready to take over.

I think Jason is just the most popular scapegoat. He has made some bad calls throughout the year and i'm sure that he would admit that he would like to have some of those calls back. But the one thing that fans fail to take into account is that they don't have all the neccessary information to make an informed decision on who is at fault when a play doesn't work.We as fans don't know the playcall/audibles nor the defensive alignment. We also aren't privy to any of the discussions/player feedback that go on during the game that give futher insight into what a defense is trying to take away. There is alot of information being processed on the sideline that most people fail to recognize.I myself think Wade is a "stay-puff" coach but will readily admit that I don't have all the facts to say that he is the complete problem.Although it has made me feel better by making Wade the scapegoat for all that impairs this teams ability to win a Lombardi. But anyway,it sounds as if Wades coming back so I better get used to it.I would suggest that others prepare themselves for the return of Garrett because there is nothing that they can do about it.

I hate to wish injury on anybody. But when it comes to the drama queen I wouldn't lose any sleep seeing him take a hit like LT put on Theisman back in the day.

To Be Honest I don't know if Garrett really deserves the blame but during the game some of the personel packages really had me questioning Garrett.

The first was when Witten was placed 1 one 1 with Allen. Now, I would take Witten over any TE's in the league, but putting him alone on a Pro-Bowl DE ?!?!? This play resulted in Romo being hit from the blind-side and losing the football. Now, It was on Free's side as he replaced Flozell, and maybe Free made a major error in the scheme, but it appears as though Witten was alone supposed to block Allen who was having an incredible game. I was amazed at the player packages, if the intention really was for Witten to block Allen 1 v. 1.

The next play is the now infamous toss to Barber for a loss. Perhaps it was an audible from Romo, I don't know, but I am still questioning the choice of putting Barber in at this point. Why pull Felix after he breaks of 2 great runs? I like Barber and hope he is just injured and that explains the problems but I can't see why he was being used, especially after Felix is running so well.

There are more concerns but these 2 important plays really stand out to me and make me want to get a new O-coord.

Because those people, for the most part, have the video game syndrome.

They see the game through the eyes of Madden(pick whatever year you want) video game.

Being middle of the pack in attempts is good. It means you're running a balanced offense. I doubt we'd have had that good of a YPC if we had increased our attempts.

I don't play video games but I saw the game with my own eyes, 20/20 vision and JG stunk it up pretty good. Did you actually see the game? Seems to me there are "those' people who make a lot of excuses and have learned to accept losing and failure when they see it.

That really needs to be fixed some how.

Some of that can be blamed on the kickers for missing, but still........

A missed kick at 40+ yards is a HUGE game changer. Changes field position dramatically cause opponent starts @ around the 40. You get no points and your defense has to go back out in bad position. Momentum is a huge deal in football games and those missed kicks are a become a HUGE deal.

Karma is a *****. Ask Tom Brady how is 2008 season started after running up the score all of 2007.

Sometimes these injuries aren't accidental.

I think that we probably would be better and maybe another win or two with another 5 carries for FJ per game. Heck, you don't even have to increase the amount of carries per game, just give 5 more MBIII carries to FJ.

I actually think that JG did finally get that figured out a little bit as we saw more FJ in recent weeks.

Umm that was proven wrong Sunday. He's a game past one. He's going on game two. That ain't one and done. One and done is basically what we did.
