Most people on this board would say eagles have an elite defense. So I was watching the games today enjoying the Cowboys at 11-1 and got to thinking.

Eagles have given up 20 points to Cincy and it's almost half time.........Cincy had 0 against us.

What about GB? How many points to Eagles give up at home to GB but yet we went to Lambeau and held them to 16 points.

The big thing is we are doing it without sacks and turnovers which is much more impressive. I know most of you will talk about pass rush but with no pass rush they are keeping teams from scoring. Not to mention Church, Claiborne and Wilcox have all been out. Time to give them credit for keeping us in games. A defensive draft will put this group into elite status

NFL defenses are just bad.

Vikings and Denver plays the best defense.. Everyone else is just meh...

I think our defense is relying on players doing their jobs and reacting quickly. Its not the best defense but its a defense that will stand victoriously as the winner. Maybe its not teh ideal protypical NFL defense, but its getting the job done. This is where the coach is making a huge difference.

There's a lot of words I would use for our D. Elite is not on my list, unless "elitely bad" is a word. It's a shame that our D will probably end our run this year but I'm going to try and enjoy it anyway. We need an top rated FA pass rusher and some good D players in the draft. We've been lucky with Lee this year and MoC was better than expected but still can't stay healthy. We need to pray that Jaylon Smith gets healthy for next year too.....

Our defense is not elite or dominant. It is, however, pretty damn good at keeping opposing teams out of the end zone. That's what matters.

The Dallas D is underrated. In fairness we haven't quite seen our secondary at full strength save the first two games (almost).

Our offense helps our defense a great deal by making our opponents pass only early in games. If the shegirls offense coudl do that they would be world beaters.

I think we are 28th in total defense right now according to the ESPN website. Sigh

Wait...I went to another link and that ESPN chart said were 18th

Well, they are what they are 12 games into the year. We hemorrhage yards. We make QBs way too comfortable in the pocket. We rarely get the turnover.

And

We seem to be very tough to score against.

I finally looked it up. Dallas has chance at Super Bowl even with anemic pass rush. In 2006 Indy Colts won super bowl with only 26 sacks during regular season. Dallas currently has 18 with 4 games left.

Not even close...I'd settle for good, they are average at best...

Basically our O in the playoffs will need to excel. And our best best is to get HFA throughout, can not see this team winning a road playoff game in Seattle.
