It's either GB or NYG

All good points but to counter that thinking. Dak has been on fire and Zeke has been on fire pretty much the whole season. Green Bay has no CBs and we have a talented receiving core. Rogers is playing great but he can't play defense. I want Green Bay, we match up better against them right now. But I also think we're the best team in the NFC and the other teams are more scared of us then we think.

Have faith bro, we'll win.

Recall we got lots of pressure on Rodgers in the 2nd half of our game, and most of that was just Irving. The defensive front seven is playing MUCH better than it was when played GB early in the season. They can't stop our offense and our defense has been outstanding despite the injuries. Coming off the bye week with many of our defenders healthier helps our chances greatly.

I like the matchups with the offensive teams slightly better for us, given the way we're put together. We can sustain the long drives and slow the games down and still put up points in the long run. If you can't stop our running game and have issues in coverage, that's a pretty good recipe for us.

NY is the interesting matchup, because of that defense. I'd have been happier to see WAS put up more points on them today, honestly. I still think we win that matchup, but mostly because it'll be in Dallas and because it'd be awfully tough to beat this team a third time. But, man, it would suck if it happened.

In any event, though, you're right. Dallas is the clear class of the NFC race right now. There are other good teams, and GB is one of them, but beating this team in Dallas would be an upset, even so.

Seahawks playing like poop right now. So don't discount the Lions.

But just to play along. I would rather have the Giants. With all the time off, I get the feeling the Cowboys might start off slow in the first quarter or so of our first playoff game. And would rather have the Giants offense if that turns out to be the case.

Exactly!!!

Why is everybody acting so scared of the Giants or the Packers? Didn't we beat the Packers at Lambeau? Yea, we lost twice to the Giants but its not like it was Western Omaha vs Alabama, they were games that came down to the wire each time. If Twill gets out of bounds in the first game, Bailey tries a 57-58 yard FG for the win and that is probably a 50/50 chance. In the second game, we played in artic like conditions with the football frozen solid and we lost by a FG when Bailey's kick hit the crossbar from 50+.

So maybe its the Packers and Giants that might need to worry about playing us again instead of the other way around.

Honestly, it really does not matter who we play, if we are a SB worthy team we will beat whoever we play.

I think we will get almost all of our hobbled players back because of the two week break and because the stakes are higher, win or you are out!

If we avoid the turnovers and penalties, we can beat anyone especially considering our defense is coming alive at the right time.

The easiest path for us is if:

Lions beat Seahawks

Giants beat Packers

We would face the Lions and the Giants would face the Falcons. I think that Giants defense can shut down Atlant and if we get past Detroit, we would play the Giants at ATT for all the marbles. Have Tony ready if Dak struggles like he did last time.

Seattle is a 7.5 favorite... I don´t think Detroit comes out alive.
Green Bay is a 3.5 favorite... That will be a great game to watch.

Our defense would be able to hold GB under 21 points and our offense with there depleted secondary should be able to score more than 21.

You sure about that first part?

Easiest maybe. But very unlikely.

My biggest concern is whether Garrett can get the guys ready. I think we will be rested and Dak and Zeke will be fired up. But we were rested in NY 3 weeks ago and were not ready to play.

Two teams in the NFC playoffs are above Dallas (15) in opponent third down conversion percentage: NY Giants (3) and Seattle (14). Green Bay (24). Detroit (31). Atlanta (26).

Two teams in the NFC playoffs are above Dallas (10) in third down conversion percentage: Green Bay (2) and Detroit (8). Atlanta (11). New York (30). Seattle (16).

IMO, the larger discrepancy for the ratings puts the Giants and the Packers as the two teams that are probably the worst match ups for the Cowboys in opposite ways. One of them will be eliminated, but either way, these ratings are the most concerning for me, along with turnover differential and penalties (which for the Cowboys are good), that could be problematic for the team.

The fact that it is Green Bay vs Giants next week with those ratings being so close in opposition (3) vs (2) and (30) vs (24) really means the game could go either way.

I would rather play the lions. that probably will not happen so I would rather have the giants. with the giants 24 points could probably win the game. with the packer we will need to score atleast 30 or more to keep up with them.

Great points. I think the nod has to go to the home team under those circumstances.

If the lions beat the hawks and the giants beat packers, would we still play the lions?
