JPP left the Giants today without signing a contract so he is definitely out this week. Not that any of us really thought he was going to play.

So is every game.

Nirvana is right, and yes every game is must win, but some gmaes are more important, we can accept a loss if the team is better. Thats just fact, And in this sport its anyones day. That all aside, Garrett has got to win this game to make a statement to the NFL. THe Cowboys are back and we are going to start off where we left off.

To lose this game will be huge. Its not just starting off 0-1 and 0-1 you are telling the NFL "once again we are not ready for any challenge." That NY team is not in the best of shape and for Garrett to lose to that, would send a shock wave to anyone who knows the game. "not ready" and after this off season, there is no excuse left for Garrett, none.

We have 10 games we should win. Assuming we perform well in those games, we have 6 really tough games this season that will most likely determine how successful of a playoff position we put ourselves in - Philly twice, Miami in Miami, GB, Seattle, NE.

The way I see it, 10-6 is a base line for a contender (most of the time). So for every game out of the 6 difficult ones we win, we could allow for a loss in the 10 we should win.

If we take care of all 10 of those we should win, then every win out of the tough games should inch us closer to the coveted #1 seed.

This is a "should win if contender" game.

I'd like to see
9-1 or 8-2
and
4-2.

So 13-3 or 12-4.

i agree with what you are saying. But all the other stuff aside, he has to prove to NY we dont fear them anymore.

4 in a row and 5 out of the last 6 already says that.

not really. its a nice start. But the Giants have had runs too. This is about a hurt team, division, history. If this so called good Dallas team cant whip on a dysfunctional Giants team. Hard loss. Yesterday wont matter and the next game is even more important.

I have a dilemma.

I'm going to an Ed Sheeran concert on Sunday. Before you slam me, there's no way I'm missing the game. I'm definitely recording it and watching it on Monday and I'm just as pumped as anyone can possibly be pumped. But Ed Sheeran is a flipping beast live and there's no way I'm missing that concert.

NOW my dilemma is this - should I go on CZ and Instagram and whatever and just check the score, or should I avoid all forms of social media until I get to watch the game so the outcome is a surprise?

Lost in the distraction over the final 53, the practice squad, discussions about Michael and Mills and patting the front office on the backs is the fact we have our season opener against the Giants in just 5 days!!!!! Nothing like kicking off the season at home against our hated division rival. GO COWBOYS!

Must win? no. But if they lose, I would consider the next game a must win, considering the expectations of this team; Going 0-2, against 2 division rivals, to open the season, would be pretty bad; Kinda like digging your own grave.....

Marv Levy had the greatest response ever when asked if an upcoming game was a must win. "Son, World War II was a must win."

I completely agree with JoeBobby. There are degrees of important games - going 0-2 against Buffalo and New England is a lot less worse than starting 0-2 in your Division and Conference.

Therefore this is a "very important" win game.
