It's Not Just Us. The Entire Division is Awful

Giants are a very good, well built team. And now they are well coached. It’s a good thing they have Winston starting for them.

Side question: Putting the dead cap hit and salary cap acceleration aside, if The Giants called and wanted to trade Dart and two first round picks for Dak, would you do it?
Yes. Yes. and Yes

And yet this team can’t seem to quit tripping over itself to take control of it.
Just a part of the plan to add suspense to the season! At the end there will be a strong push from several of the teams in the division to make things interesting

All 4 teams are a mess. Poorly coached. Undisciplined. Lacking talent at key positions.
A lot of bad coaching. When the Cowboys played the Ravens, they had 1 timeout left, the right thing to do was kick it in play. Our coach does the opposite and cost us the game.

This week, I thought the Jaguars had a timeout at the end. They didn't. The right thing to do was for the Eagles to kick it through the endzone. They did the opposite. This is simple stuff.

Yes, the NFC East is bad. I remember yesterday some here hoping the Commies would win because it would put Dallas closer to the division leader. I'm just scratching my head wondering what difference will it make? LOL

Reality is EVERY team is in the NFL is pretty much on par with each other with athletic talent IMO, it's what you do with that talent and how the team is coached is what makes the difference at the end of a very long season IMO.

The issue with the Boys is that no matter how lucky they get at the end of the year (all teams require some luck IMO to get to the SB), they always seem to have a distraction to deal with, and that distraction is Jerry.

Perhaps it's just me, but watching the 49'ers play the Seahawks last night, I don't think any NFC team would be able to beat either of those teams last night. That said, on any given Sunday, a far superior team can lose to a inferior team.

Did I read this correctly. There are people in this thread that would give the Giants Dak and 2 first round picks for Dart? My gosh, what on earth has happened to the football sensibilities of this crowd? Jerrys ineptness has some of us totally discombobulated. SMDH!!!!!!!!

If you've watched football for any length of time it's not just the division this whole league has turned into a deluded mess.

Not enough talent to go around players or coaching
Glad you said coaching. Dallas and Philly have losses that can be squarely placed on the head coach.

I’m just fed up with watching other teams around the league play hard week in and week out and Dallas wins one game against a crap team and is so busy celebrating they don’t show up for two weeks. I watched the 49ers Seahawks play great defense and yet still give up close to 30 points. Both offenses needed turnovers and struggled to move the ball yet still fought hard. Dallas would have been overwhelmed especially Dak. He turns into a pumpkin when a tough defense shows up.

Yep both coaches admitted that they were fully responsible for losing those games.

Never had to here Tom Landry take full responsibility for losing a game.
Then again I never heard fans call Roger Staubach embarrassing as he was walking through the tunnel.
Once upon a Time you could be so proud to be a cowboy fan and as great as it was back then

It sucks that much now.

And a thin-skinned little pumpkin at that that's easily carved up

I disagree. The Cowboys are poorly coached. I do not think that is the biggest problem in Washington, Philly and New York.

What happened in Washington yesterday was on Jayden Daniels. He as the QB has to know the situation. Not only did he make a mistake running with the ball and getting tackled in the field of play, he also took his time getting up off the ground to get set and spike the ball. You cannot blame Quinn for that. An NFL QB has to know better. And Quinn would not be the guy talking into the headset to the QB. That would be the OC, not Quinn. I am not a fan of Quinn but they look a lot less confused on the field than Dallas does.

The Eagles are fumbling because they have some injuries and retirements to deal with. Siriani is the same coach that got them to a SB. I think the front office is slowly dismantling that team due to future CAP issues. When they get Smith back and if Barkley gets healthy I think they will be fine. They are still a product of their defense anyway.

New York is a well coached team. They play hard. They show a strong desire to win. And they are 3-1-1. If not for a bad fumble by Skattebo they would be 4-1. I still think they will win the division, even with a backup QB.

The worst coached team in this division is Dallas - by far. The kind of mistakes Shoddy make are not made by any other teams. The soft play calling on defense only happens in Dallas.

I do that in a heart beat. But why on earth would the Giants do that? The legitimate question is would you do Dart straight up for Dak? Maybe add a day 2 pick from the Giants. Essentially, the trade would be a promising young QB with potential upside vs. an above average veteran that’s in the late autumn of his career.
