It's not the defense, it's the inconsistent offense

And, one of those games was with their BACKUP QB.

Yep...……...our defense, in those losses allowed bottom of the barrel QB's to look like all stars.

In the 4 biggest losses of the year, this is what the defense allowed the following QB's.

Jets-Darnold= QBR 113
Bills-Allen= QBR 120
Bears-Trubinski= QBR 115
Eagles-Wentz= QBR 108

A case where some fans don't know what a sneaky good defense and special teams looks like. How anyone would defend our defense and special teams, especially last year is beyond me.

Maybe this is the consistency he is applauding in the defense:

That totally makes sense. The Jets, Bills, Bears games all got out of hand when the offense stopped moving the ball. I would be curious how many minutes the defense averages on the field. And compare that to there defenses like Bills or Bears.
How many minutes they are on the field isnt on the offense. Its on them to get off the field. Thats like giving blame to the defense if the offense cant stay on the field or give the defense credit if the offense has good TOP.

As far the avg on the field, Bears were 12th in TOP per drive at 2:42 per drive, Bill were 11th at 2:41, Cowboys were 23rd at 2:53. But again, thats not the offense fault that the defense cant get off the field

There ya have it! Consistently crappy.

There are also some fans dismissing the importance of field position. Unreal.

This is so underrated. If we have a ball control control offense and we have a 5 minute drive, our defense getting off the field quicker would help tremendously in wearing the opposing defense down. But, they allow the opposing offense to control the clock on them and run a lot of plays while the defense we are trying to wear down gets rested.
