Steele is not all that. Yes he is excellent at run blocking but only average as a Pass Blocker and we all know how important THAT is for a tackle.

Best young RT? hardly.

Now you can win with him if you give him help against top pass rushers. So he is manageable. But not worth anywhere near $12 million a year.

I wouldn’t say he is average at anything.

He’s a talented RT and will make $$$ as soon as he hits the UFA market.

They were lucky to find him.

SO, let him walk and continue holding on to a guy that can't finish a season healthy? Makes sense. Then we use high picks again for replacements.
