You have made a solid, counterargument for your prediction not coming true. An NFL franchise does not exist inside a bubble. Fans are not immortal and consist of a single generation. They are not finite in number that you may perceive.

Certainly, your concept of respect is shared by others. It is not necessarily shared by all others, especially those belonging to newer, younger fans.

It may come as a surprise but NFL fans have endured far worse situations than that experienced by Cowboys fans' pre- and post-Jerry Jones. It may seem inconceivable, but fans have respected franchises owning poorer legacies than Dallas.

That said, it is interesting how you have tied your personal fed up thoughts to others and formulated a predestined deadline they will automatically follow according to your feelings. You are projecting more onto others, than what will actually happen in reality.
You fail to recognize that this generation is the most informed, overcharged fans the NFL has ever had.
Consistent media coverage has allowed fans to see things from ownership never revealed in past decades.
Add to that the money this league has acquired and the way they have overcharged the fans for everything and you have fans who know better and can see through the curtain into the inner workings of a team, and these fans demand better from their franchise for the money they pay to be a part of it.
All across social media, the Dallas Cowboys are becoming more of a punchline to a bad joke, and fans are no longer buying into the circus Jerry has run. They are beginning to see that "next year" will never come, and they are sick of Jerry's sales pitches every year.
And fans who really understand the game who aren't into stats but results are fed up.
America's Team is dying; Jerry took the fans for granted and kicked us in the teeth too many times.

Yep. That was predictable.

The Cowboys have to win every game to get into the playoffs, and every playoff game to advance to and win the Super Bowl.
And that's fair.
If the Cowboys want to be a contender, they should be able to win every game left on their schedule. If they can't do that they don't deserve to be in the playoffs.
After all, the goal is to be the best team in the NFL. Being in the top five just means you were okay; the top ten means less.
The Cowboys should expect to win out.
Moral victories don't count. It's professional football; and there is no "next year" to wait for. Jerry destroyed the Cowboys future hopes by signing Dak to that four year deal.
It's now or never for the Cowboys and their fans.
well its never lol
They are one and done !

overall they played great, but still had the bad coaching at times, and stupid players doing stupid things.
Also I was a fan of rush, but he played poorly too often tonight.
Some of his passes were so bad lol, I could have done better than him.

But what are the odds if the cowboys win all their games?

It's not going to happen, but just curious as to how much help they actually need if they win out. I'm sure the simulators give them low chances of winning against Washington and Philly
Well they wont win out lol, but if they did what if wash wins out or only loses 1 more game?
Wash right now is the 3rd wc team @ 8-5 so they would have to lose 3 of their last 4 games to have 8 losses. That wont happen.
Rams are at 6 losses . would have to lose 2 of 4.

So while yeah its mathematically possible, it aint happening.

had cowboys won tonight, they could put a loss on wash in last game, so it could have wound up a win and your in game.
But I think all chances went away after losing to bengals.
1 dumb player gave bengals the game? not really cowboys made a lot of mistakes, and that was just one of them, but
it was a big one at a bad time.

Jimmy would cut that guy tomorrow !! lol lets see what fat mike and jones boys do.

Well, this aged well, LOL!!!

Yeah, this loss pretty much eliminates us from any realistic postseason play. We are technically still mathematically alive, but we would have to win out and have a couple of other teams go like 1-3.

Not happening, the season is pretty much officially done with the loss tonight.

The NFL hasn't needed the Cowboys to win a Super Bowl because their fan base has been solid despite the circus.
But, the Cowboys are in danger of losing that support due to Jerry's ignorance and lack of respect for those fans.
Once it's gone it won't be back.
Suckers always come back. Like you they will complain and state that one day people will leave. And yet they will be back every year falling for the same Okie Doke all the while hoping for change.

It's being currently reported in the mainstream sports media, such as the NY Times, that the Cowboys currently have a less than 1% chance to make the playoffs.
