You fail to recognize that this generation is the most informed, overcharged fans the NFL has ever had.You have made a solid, counterargument for your prediction not coming true. An NFL franchise does not exist inside a bubble. Fans are not immortal and consist of a single generation. They are not finite in number that you may perceive.
Certainly, your concept of respect is shared by others. It is not necessarily shared by all others, especially those belonging to newer, younger fans.
It may come as a surprise but NFL fans have endured far worse situations than that experienced by Cowboys fans' pre- and post-Jerry Jones. It may seem inconceivable, but fans have respected franchises owning poorer legacies than Dallas.
That said, it is interesting how you have tied your personal fed up thoughts to others and formulated a predestined deadline they will automatically follow according to your feelings. You are projecting more onto others, than what will actually happen in reality.
Consistent media coverage has allowed fans to see things from ownership never revealed in past decades.
Add to that the money this league has acquired and the way they have overcharged the fans for everything and you have fans who know better and can see through the curtain into the inner workings of a team, and these fans demand better from their franchise for the money they pay to be a part of it.
All across social media, the Dallas Cowboys are becoming more of a punchline to a bad joke, and fans are no longer buying into the circus Jerry has run. They are beginning to see that "next year" will never come, and they are sick of Jerry's sales pitches every year.
And fans who really understand the game who aren't into stats but results are fed up.
America's Team is dying; Jerry took the fans for granted and kicked us in the teeth too many times.
