I wouldn't say never. We have managed to strengthen the roster, but not jeopardize our future capabilities. After Romo's hit this year, we have like 30-40 million in cap space next year (notwithstanding a deal to Bryant and maybe Hardy). In other words, we'll see in 2015 if we can repeat the success of 2014, but still have the ability to continue strengthening the team in the forseeable future either way.
For once, I would like for someone... anyone... to pick for me five correct white balls and one correct red ball. Is that so much to ask???
So you're over your bad feeling?
I think Romos window is 1-3 years.
Long term 3-5 years, But I doubt we see Romo playing in 4 years.....Thats a lifetime in the NFL. But, who knows?
I would plan on the next 1-3 years to make a push for a Super Bowl.
Yes, this team is still going to have a lot to offer after he is gone. But, have you seen the QBs in this league lately....There aren't too many good ones. And without a good one, I don't think you make any noise. Regardless of how good you are in other places....
I have been saying this for a few years now, but most dismiss this thought, and I am not sure why,
Lets draft one, this year. 1 or 2. Lets start grooming him right now. And by the time he gets his turn to start, hopefully,he doesn't have that deer in headlights look on his face.....
If we go to FA, we will pay dearly.....And then you have wrapped everything up into a FA. yuck; So, Ill say it again, this year. Lets draft a QB.
With the signing of Hardy and the contract of Romo(his health), we have these next two years to send Romo into the sunset.
For once, I would like for someone... anyone... to pick for me five correct white balls and one correct red ball. Is that so much to ask???
you do realize that this is one of the weakest QB drafts in years?
