i said it before, ill say it again, since the days of QB Garrett, Dallas does not know what to do with the back up qb position.

I cant fault you for your eyesight. Shoring up RT and an RB that can pickup the blitz are top priority.

I seem to remember a ton of people wanting Orton cut and constantly complaining about his salary/cap hit. Why waste that much on a b/u QB? Cut the bum! Now he's gone and everybody is freaking out about b/u QB. What does everyone want? A proven starting QB for vet minimum to back up Romo?

The teams that don't lose anything when their QB goes down are the ones who's QB sucks already. Very few teams have a backup good enough to come in and keep a season afloat while their good QB is out. It didn't make sense to draft one high if Romo is really playing 3-4 more years. Thats a waste of a pick that won't even play and if you're lucky, might keep you in a playoff race for 2 or 3 games, IF thats all Romo misses. Might. So where does this savior of a QB on a vet minimum deal come from? I'm fine with what they have. If Romo does go down for an extended time, I would rather go 5-11 than 8-8 anyways.

i agree with the majority most teams couldnt win without their established starter...we shall see how New England does without Brady for the first four...

At least Bellicheat is trying to cover all bases in case Brady calls it quits by using high round picks on QB's (Mallet and Garrapalo). Stock piling picks gives him the leverage to do so.

Unfortunately, for all of Romo's accolades, he only has 2 playoff wins under his belt. Our next franchise QB will probably be a bus driver.

Somebody needs to get on the horn to Testeverde, and tell him to get to the gym and start working on his squats. We just might need him at some point this season.

The issue with getting another back-up right before the season starts is that they're going to have a to be a really quick learner. If you really want to depend on him right away he still needs to learn the playbook and become adequately familiar with the receivers.

The Bills have Matt Cassel, E.J. Manuel, Tyrod Taylor and Matt Simms as their QBs. I doubt they'll keep all 4.

We need a serviceable backup qb. If we lose romo down the stretch for a couple key games it's goodbye season. Vaughan is not going to be good. He's basically the Steven McGee project all over again. And Weeden. Yeah I'm very worried

But..BUT....But wait Weeden is an extremely viable backup!!! Just ask people here!!!
