when he said that the game comes so easy to Flo that sometimes he gets bored and kinda dogs it.

Exhibit A of how easy it can be:

I'm watching the game now, it's the 2nd quarter and the Boys are driving (I think this is the Polite TD drive). Philly's N.D. Kalu gets a head start by jumping offsides. Get this...Flozell blocks Kalu with ONE FRIGGIN HAND!

It's crazy. Go back and watch. They show the replay and Flo is controlling Kalu lake a child. Gifted young man when he wants to be.

Just thought I'd share

Yeah, I saw that today. Flo had him with his left hand up around the shoulder/chest/neck area and the DE was all bent backwards. Flo was barely moving his feet. It looked like a kid wrestling with his father. Total mismatch. I bet Flo was laughing inside. AMAZING!

Another observation, on this same drive, Julius comes up limping after the run where Trotter horsecollars him.

Yeah, but it wasn't the knee or ankle. It was more of a hip thing going on. He shook it off though. It's totally unrelated to his ankle injury. I just think the torque built up by the horsecollar twisted his hip muscle.

Maybe nearly impressive was when Spears was in at FB on the 4th and 1 near the goal line.
He completely pancaked Mike Patterson. It would of been a fantastic block by an o-lineman let alone a rookie DE lined up in the backfield.

How about Obagu pancaking Tre Thomas? That was very impressive.

Did Parcells make this comment recently? I missed it.

Does anyone have video of this? To me, it looked like a horse collar...

Talk about irony, this rule was implemented because of what Dallas (Roy) did to Philly - yet not called the other way around.

Unfortunately,

Flozell is a mirror image of Leon Lett on the other side of the ball...he had 1 very good year, has flashes every year that make you think he's getting it, but he will never be what he could be because he simply can not maximize his potential and totally focus on the game...why? Who knows. He's a good OT even when he doesn't work hard enough or makes stupid mistakes, but he'll never be one of the great ones...he should be, but that's also a perfect description of Leon Lett.

Parcells said it at one of his news conferences at training camp.

I agree with Bluestar. Guys like Flozell are frustrating. He has all the talent in the world and plays just well enough to keep his job.

I don't like him as a player, but talented left tackles are so valuable that you have to put up with him.

A better comparison to Flo would be Eric Williams, he too had alot of talent, not sure he got over the car wreck were he was so stupid hauling a#$ in his mecedes no seat belt, only by the grace of god and german engineering did he survive, never the same, agree he-Flo is as good as LA was in his prime when he shows up, this is the frustrating thing to me, whole o-line took Oakland game off..

Yeah, EW wasn't right ever again after that car accident.

Yeah, Erik was never the same after the accident. Boy, I remember those Erik Williams - Reggie White matchups... Most teams had to double team Reggie but Erik handled him all by himself...

Yeah I really liked seeing that, Tre is huge and Ogbogu ran right over him.

I saw that... did you notice that Tre "reverse tackled" Ogbogu and held him there as well?

Flo really shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as the pre-injury Big E who played at an All-Pro level. E was nasty, had great pride and would consistently dominate on almost every play. The post-injury E was robbed of a lot of his mobility and was a different player altogether.

LA was a dominator in his prime and one of the all-time greats. On a good day, Flo doesn't compare to what he was.

If Flo played up to his potential he would be a Pro Bowler. He would still be a notch below Pace, Ogden and Walter Jones.

Those were the days when LA and EW lined up...talk about getting nasty with the run game.
