It's Okay To Be Both Happy About The Win And Upset At How Bad They Looked In It

I mean, I'm not happy about the win. Parcells wouldn't be happy with this win. Jimmy wouldn't be happy with this win. Landry wouldn't be happy with it either. Only a loser with no standards would be happy with this win.

Relieved, yeah but not happy. They played like their QB.

So you tell lies in their behalf? They would be happy with the win, but disgusted with how they played. Only a fool would rather be on the losing end of any game.

So you can't answer the Bucs question so you deflect. Yes your Dak obsession is a problem when you're incapable of seeing reality.
Well I say that because I never said Dak was "great". I never said he was top 5 or anything. Your hatred has blinded you. If he "chokes" against the Buccs then yeah he's "not so great". Very weird you needed to hear this but there you go.

What cheered me up was being alive to see my wife and daughter.....this site is nothing but a release for me, a realization that this is all I can control in the grand scheme of things.
I ask because your stay on this site is very bitter and upset. Mad at the world. Glad you are happy to be alive with your wife and daughter. Shouldn't let this Cowboy team keep you bitter and angry.

Dak was the 3rd best QB on the field today.

The defense was off and looked really bad at times.

The special teams weren't good and it started with Turpin killing the momentum.

We were out coached in every facet.

If we would've played probably 30 other teams today we lose.

Yes, it was ugly and we got the win, but it's okay to be critical and disappointed with how terrible everyone looked today. It's not all sunshine. The team we saw today is an easy out and it's okay to point that out.
All wins are not created equal and today was about as ugly as it gets.

The third best QB on the field led them to victory. According to your assessment, Purdy is better than Brady, because the 49ers whipped the Bucs. Brady was the second best QB on the field to a first time starter.

Dak ended up having an ok game but as I’ve been saying for weeks, his slow starts and mistake prone play will eventually end our season.
I wouldn’t say slow start today, we did score TD in the opening possession. But they were woefully underprepared for a physical defense ( a la Denver Broncos , last year)

No other timeout received thankfully and I am trying man......learning to walk again is a scary thing, something thankfully I never experienced in my service days......oh to be young again.

I also want to wish you the best of luck in your recovery. There are always disagreements on forums like this but we also need to stop and realize we're all in this thing called life together.

I consider you a friend and maybe someday we can all celebrate a Cowboys Super Bowl win.

If by timeout you mean multiple spinal surgeries in 24 hours which resulted in me seizing and having a crash team come to my room....yeah, I really enjoyed that timeout. Thanks for asking.
Good luck to your recovery , Get well Zoner , well said about living and seeing family !

It was a poor game for Dak bar the final drive.

He's been just okay for his stands this season but still solid overall. He's winning games and generally, stats are okay.:
  • A Decent QBR 9th
  • Solid completion percentage 7th
  • Decent yards per pass 13th
  • A good number of TD passes (per game) 5th
  • Horrible number of interceptions (per game) 3rd Highest
He's typically been very good when it comes to avoiding interceptions so this year is a bit unusual for him but something we definitely need to address.

Idk, but if he was the "3rd beat Qb on the field" then we would've lost that game for sure lol

I guess you missed the part that said Dak was the 3rd best QB on the field.....

He was trash.
Your opinion is trash. Dak was awesome in the final drive. The difference was that they took Ball out and put Peters in. Dak didn't get touched once that happened and took them right down the field 98 yards for the winning td. That last drive was a thing of beauty.

The fact of the matter is if after Dak's 2nd INT of the day Houston would have scored a TD that puts them up 10 with about 4 minutes to go and the game is over. Yes, Dak indeed led Dallas to a game winning drive but for all that wish to applaud, you should be nervous that Dallas struggled against a vastly inferior team and almost lost.
The pick was caused by Josh Ball. He actually caused the fumble on the previous play also. After the pick they were forced to bench Ball and put Peters in. After that Dak never got touched again and took them right down the field 98 yards for the winning td with some beautiful accurate passes and a couple of big runs as well.

See, when you say things like “Dak was the third best QB on the field” and one of the two guys you have ahead him completed 4 passes for 38 yards and ran a speed option THE WRONG WAY on the goal line it makes it impossible for most people to take anything else you say seriously. It immediately reveals your bias and everything else you post will be viewed by others through that lens.

It you want to say outlandish things then so be it, but stop getting upset and whining that people are oppressing you because they don’t take you seriously. ALL YOU DO is ***** about Dak and then whine that nobody listens to you. It’s exhausting.

It’s an ugly team win. My only takeaway is that the cowboys are not responding well to being punched in the face
I didn’t see the game but from everything I’ve read the Texans were extremely physical much like the niners were last year in playoffs and much like the bucs were week 1

the cowboys can’t continue to be bullied or for sure our hopes will he bashed

also ball should not see the field again

During the Cowboys 5 championship seasons they lost 16 regular season games.

I'll bet that after each of those losses there were a pack of doom prophets saying the same things that some are saying now.

However, unlike them, the statements of today' s doom prophets will be recorded for all time, easily confirmed, easily referenced. That's one of the supposed advantages of the internet.

The issue with Prescott is that he is inconsistent and as a result it makes it very difficult to win in the play offs. The defense prevented a pick 6 after his late interception and an epic goal line stop - it's unlikely they would have done so against a play off team in which case the Cowboys lose. Last night showed the defense will have to play lights out to carry Prescott. Reminds me of a similar situation to the Broncos when the defense carried Peyton Manning during his last season effectively in a 90 year old body. Question is are the Cowboys defense good enough to do the same?
