It's a division game. It will be tougher than most predict (just like the Giants game was) and most of us are confident that we can pull it out just like we have for the past 6 weeks straight. The hype would be at an all time high (and the build up a lot more fun) if the Foreskins were even remotely competitive. They'll get their licks in. They've got some talent. But, in the end, even the Skins fans know that Dallas is going to utilize this mass murdering O-line and crush their will before the clock ticks down to zero.

Skins are going to make a few big plays with Jackson and Gracon. In the end it just won't be enough. We know it and they do too.

I agree, what concerns me is that although I think Dolt is a crummy QB, we don't have much film on him and historically we've fared pretty poorly against new QBs.
I also agree that this is one of those times where Washington is really bad, we're really good, so the lesser team plays out of its mind. You can also factor in that it truly is a must-win for Wash, dropping to 2-6 on the season is a death sentence and you might was well start planning for next season. Historically, our best teams have struggled with Washington even when we had the significantly better team. Believe we lost to them once in '92, once in '93, and twice in '95. This definitely has all the signs of a trap game….everyone is pointing to the AZ game, Wash is down their top LB, top DB, and starting their 3rd string QB, we're reading our own press clippings….and I do think Wash comes in revved up and gives us their best shot, as usual.
That said, I do believe that as long as we don't turn the ball over and get dumb, drive-killing penalties, we can control the ball and run it right down their throats like everyone else (including some vastly superior defenses we've done that to thus far). I think if we beat Washington and hold serve against Jax, the AZ game becomes not-terribly important (although I definitely think if we play well we can beat them). Being 8-2 or 9-1 heading to NYG (another definitely winnable game) would be incredible.
Longer term, if Philly, San Fran, Seattle, Green Bay, and Detroit can all pile up some losses we should be cleared hot into the playoffs well before the last week of the season. I don't think there's a team we can't beat, but I'd really prefer NOT to have to go TO Seattle, Philly, or Green Bay during the playoffs, but now I'm just being greedy.

Don't sleep on the Foreskins. Rivalry games are always big, regardless of record.

Never heard of the Commanders.

You sure you never heard of them...I just checked nfl.com stats..and the Commanders are #5 on offense in the league and #7 on defense that's wierd for a team that is 2 n 5...but there turnover ratio is -9..that explains it..if they improve on that lookout...can't wait for next Monday night!!! All football fans will be watching..

division games are huge, but this one feels like a snoozer to me. Their new coach is still trying to figure out his personnel. they have a ton of injury issues, and little depth. Hard to see how Washington pulls it out

Yep. It's the Dallas Cowboys versus the Washington I-Will-Never-Type-Their-Offensive-Mascot-Name-Again week. I cannot wait for Monday night. Hopefully, Murray will run for 200 (I still have some unresolved Alfred Morris issues :p ).

The Cowboys are 6-1 and the Commanders are 2-5.

It's not like both teams are 5-2 and RG3 was healthy and having a Pro Bowl year; in which case the intensity would be white-hot.

Go back to our last game against them last year, we made Kirk Cousin look like an all-star. If we have truly turned the corner we will not look past anyone nor should the fans.

last years D was truly one of the most patheic in NFL history, they just couldnt get off the field even on 3rd and long situations, this year they have been better in key situations.
