obvious to me
this board is incredible toxic after a loss, any loss and some wins

we not defending superbowl champs or conference champs
we have a new team, that why the stupid power ranks week 1 are silly because nobody knows anything even the teams
we have problems we have new line position problems suspensions injuries and maybe just maybe the team can be pretty good but not as good as the best?
so yeah complain and be angry sad whatever but the hate and people through with so & so lol
im sure this board has been super funny to all the other teams laughing atr the crybabies

i dont hate the Eagles. i dont hate the Giants or Commanders i only really dont like a few players in the nfl and most dont because you hate the guy until we trade for him

what i cant stand are those teams fans. and these Cowboy fans after a bad game i dislike just as much.

lol believe it or not it's not as bad as it used to be.

This is the most level headed we've ever been after a loss.

I think most of us just stopped giving the Cowboys so much control of our emotions throughout the week. Venting on the forum and fighting each other for years has made us stop caring so much about these losses.

This was a team loss.

Too many break downs.

I also think Gurley would not have run as well on us if Sean Lee was playing.

Agree. Missing Lee and Hitchens made a big difference. Jaylon will play better with those 2 in there

The defense is 'bottom of the league' worthy without Lee and a healthy Jourdan Lewis. Yep, you read that right. I said a healthy Jourdan Lewis. Though a rookie, he's by far the best tackling corner on the team. Then add in the loss of the defensive captain and the D looked so much worse than the 'average' D that they truly are. Guys weren't in the correct positions, for the formation that the Rams were showing, and they got carved up by a guy who's playing on reconstructed knee. Albeit, that knee looked Super Man bionic to me.

And on the O-side of the ball, stone hands Williams reverted back to his old self. As my Dad always told me, 'If the ball hits your hand(s), it's on YOU for dropping it no matter if it was tipped, thrown by a girl (no offense ladies) or if your hand/finger(s) is broken.'. If he catches that 2-point conversion, not to mention the drop on the last drive, they kick the FG and go into OT. What happens then is anyone's guess.

While I am not a fan of Williams I believe that 2 point conversion pass was tipped by the LB making it an extremely difficult catch.

No question we need better LBs. Other than Lee they are all JAGS.

Right now, the defense is ranked 21st in total defense and 26th in scoring defense.

Not at the historically bad levels of some of those 8-8 season defenses, but not so good for sure.

Gurley is way more talented than CJ Anderson who ran over Lee like a piece of paper. Sorry just don't see Lee making the difference out there yesterday.
Well...i disagree. If we had Lee yesterday we win.

Might wanna add Xavier Woods to that list of starters needed.

Face it. We just don't have enough top shelf defensive players. Do you think that the Rams would lay 35 points on the Broncos? Although they've done a much better job of talent acquisition since Will McClay took over, they have far too often either ignored defensive needs, or took the wrong player. Anyone who knows anything knows we blew it with the Taco selection with T.J. Watt sitting there. Watt will be in contention for DROY this season. Charlton can't get out of his own way. Multiply that missed opportunity several times, & you get a very average defense. I am SO sick of waiting for another Super Bowl!! It's been over a quarter century since our last ring. My first 20 years as a fan, we had ZERO losing seasons. THAT'S how you run a freaking team! You draft Steelers type players! You draft Ravens type players! We all know who those guys are, so why don't WE take some before THEY do?! Sorry-had to rant.

I'm not sure the ball actually hit his hands. He attempted to catch it with his pectorals.

The body catcher could have won the game for us but he didn't. Dez could have won the game but he didn't. Dez sucks.

This is false. Blatantly false. We have spent draft picks on defense. Plenty of them. And we are no better for it.

Why do you say that?

Lee is great. Hitchens is solid. Even Wilson shows up. Smith -- who knows what he will become.

Safety is in dire need of an upgrade, IMO. Far more than LB
That's one way to look at it. Here's another:
Lee is great but on the wrong side of thirty. We have no other quality linebackers. Hitchens is adequate at best. Smith is not good at all now, and nobody knows what will happen with him. Wilson and Durant are not starter-quality. Our linebacker corps, without Lee, is putrid and it showed yesterday.

It isn't the forcing the ball to Dez that is killing us, it is not being capable of getting the ball to Dez in the right spots. Granted Dez has been at fault on a couple of drops, but more times then not Dak hasn't been placing the ball in the right spots.
they tried straight away to get the ball deep to Dez and it was great. but many times Dak is still not accurate enough to put the ball for Dez to have better than 50-50. Linehan wants to get those deep throws because then Zeke gets holes to run. Dez gets 60-40 pass he will get most of those but 50-50 or worse, and against very good corners? thats not a good plan unless you got megatron.

we just going to suffer through Dak growing as qb and it may be bad before good

They've had Lee and McClain ('14) pretty much mask a lot of funk surrounding this defense.
