He’s Big Ben and refuses to throw the football away! Maddening
Big Ben had the size to break tackles the dude was the size of a damn mack truck for crying out loud so it's understandable that he was able to eat a sack here and there but had the size to break out and make a play. Dak isn't that guy and is going to go down the moment he gets hit.

Sounded like stats were more important than throwing the ball away.
Did you read my post? I verbatim argued against the notion he doesn’t throw the ball away because he doesn’t want to hurt his stats lol….i don’t know what you saw that made you think I was saying stats were more important than throwing the ball away.
What I said was half of the plays he made this hear came from extending plays.

The offense was simplified for Da’s decision making. They were having him take off if the second read if it wasn’t there. It is who he is. There is no conspiracy.

Dallas can’t keep Dak and McCarthy both.

If they got rid of both of them and went a different route it would make sense.

Lining up and running it back is the dumbest thing they can do.

one time? what team have you been watching? Dak does this almost every game. i see lots of fans yelling on the game day threads when he does this almost every game.
What games have you been watching? Dak had been throwing passes away throughout this season.

This was Dak's 8th year. No coach is going to be able to teach him anything substantially helpful this late in his career. He is what he has shown to be, which is an average QB that caves under pressure.
He's above average and his deficits are primarily mental. Romo became a better decision-maker between age 30 and 34, if you want an example of what I am talking about.

It is possible to become a better decision-maker as a QB after year 30 season. It's unlikely the Cowboys win with Dak at this point, but if they want to keep trying it, then a coach that can focus on this aspect of his game would help.

I'm sorry.......while your opinion is worthy just like mine.........2 cents on a good day.......that was comical about the mental aptitude of Romo with the same disappointing results and heartbreaks. Fell out my chair on that one.

It all the things. Inaccurate. Poor footwork. Bad decisions. Holds ball too long. Mental midget in big games. Poor relationship with receivers. Takes untimely sacks. Throws untimely picks.
When ever he rolls right and throws, his leg pops up high way out straight in front of him like he's been looking at girlie pics in the huddle.

Speaking of little things.......the drop of a tough catch by CeeDee could have been that little thing.......cut your route more, as the GB defender forced a different window for Dak to get it to CeeDee.......that's a little thing that turned into a big thing.

The big things are even worse....can't read zone defenses, no pocket awareness, weak arm, slow afoot, stares down his primary receiver, pressure him early and he is out of it the rest of the game.......but i heard he is a great leader, best since General Douglas MacArthur. Oh yeah, he will be coming into camp in July in the best shape of his life.

If our defense didn't get a turnover then they lost the game. That should tell you all you need to know. Dak was propped up this year by strength of schedule, easy teams, and the defense this year. When the defense wasn't getting turnovers for him to get a short field, he chokes.

Yeah I don’t get why he has never learned how to throw the ball away
Takes sacks instead
Maybe he needs someone to radio it in to do so when he's in FG range. Like he got the Louie V bag as a reminder for his SB goal location.

throwing the ball away affects his stats negatively. it’s a business decision for Dak…..he’s pathetic.
