We were not going to win anything meaningful with T.O because we can't play as a team with T.O. But the OP is right about the coaching also. About real football people making the real football decisions on behalf of this organization.

Are you saying that T.O was the only problem with this team and now that T.O is gone the problems are fixed? Because you laugh at this post like the OP is totally out to lunch and only wants to bash Jerry because he's in love with T.O according to your comments. The coaching is flawed and quite frankly so is the decision making structure of this team.

Of course one person being cut doesn't fix the team.

I still wish Wade was gone. I still wish Ellis was gone. I still want Jerry to step back a little. I still want Romo to make better decisions. I still...

See the problem here is that the TFC, T.O. Fan Club, is narrow minded.

If you said one bad word about T.O. then you were blaming all of the teams woes on him. That's how small their thinking became over the last two months. And the OP was in that club for sure.

So now that they have been made to look silly because they were all screaming that he wasn't a problem and that there was no way the Cowboys would cut him they are running around like rats pointing out the fact the team has other problems as well.

Which is exactly what everyone else has been doing since the season ended.

Very few said that if T.O. is gone all is well.

While the entire TFC said he was in no way even a small problem. They said he was right in doing interviews and calling out his OC. They said he was right in saying he wasn't targeted enough. They said he was right in being a huge distraction to the team.

He consumed them. He became bigger than the team to them. And therefore they began being bigger fans of him than they were of the team itself.

It's a little sad and a little funny too because like I said now it seems they don't know what to do with themselves anymore.

Well, I very rarely post anything on here because I enjoy just reading and getting the latest news about our Boys. Saying that I really hate this move but feel it was for the best. I don't think T.O. was that bad a teammate to the players... its kind of hard to put to words. He just kind of has an aura around him that makes teammates not challenge him for fear of him acting like well... T.O.. For Romo i equate this to the G-men trading Shockey. His presence overshadowed Manning not allowing him to be any typed of leader and basically cowering him. He may not be a better QB than Romo but he was able to come out of his shell and challenge his offensive players without anyone taking it personally and having a backlash after shockey was gone. I believe that is the problem here. Owens may be a good teammate but an aura of negativity surrounds him with the people who work with him (offensive) forcing them not to be able to speak up to whomever when they need to pick up their play because they didn't want him to take it personally and a result is they can't even try to drive eachother harder. Maybe I'm not explaining this right but I feel a lot of stress may be released allowing Romo to look off receivers for others when passing. The pressure of always having to check off of T.O. first and second is gone. How it plays out in the end???
