Your post, made me think if they call up Dalvin Cook, and he looks really good then the question would arise..."why do you need Zeke?".

Luepke is the only guy I could think of Zeke progress stopping right now, but I think it's more of the coaches just not using Luepke better.
Why would Dalvin cook look great?

He is old washed up. Our O line sucks. Our coaches suck.

Whose progress is he limiting at this point?

He was expected to be the short yardage back. Yards/Carry would be low for that role.

Deuce Vaughn would have been active if Zeke was out. Does that change anything?

I'm curious about Dalvin Cook. In 2022 he had the 2nd highest rushing total of his career.

It Cook plays at some point, then it would be odd to keep Zeke and Cook on the 53.
The progress Zeke is currently limiting is the team‘s progress. As I’ve said earlier in this thread, there should never be a roster spot for sentimentality. I appreciate all Zeke has done for this team but he’s bringing nothing at this point.

Lol you say Cook is washed up, but yet wont admit Zeke is?
Cooks last 1000 yard season was 2022, Zekes was in 2021
LOL...you aren't helping your case much there.

I'm not saying zeke is 2016 shape. All I have said is that I thought Zeke could be of some value. But CLEARLY...when the owners says something dumb like "we're saving him" there's very little value if any.

I have no faith in the o-line making some dam holes, or coaches managing the game. None of the RBS are setting the world on fire and I refuse to believe it;s 100% on them.

I hope that clarifies my position.

I'm not sure why some are still advocating for Zeke. This whole thing has gone exactly as the naysayers have called it - a waste of time and roster spot that shows a lack of seriousness or even care for trying to be champions by the owner, and that it would negatively affect the running game on the field.

Yup. Nothing personal, he's just not effective anymore. All he brings is pass blocking, and that's nowhere near enough to warrant playing time, much less a roster spot.

Fans want to cut players just to make a statement but it's pointless to cut Zeke if there is not a better player to replace him.

To me it’s not about making a statement. It is literally about getting better. There are several RBs on other team’s practice squads who are 24 or younger and have potential upside as RBs, AND, unlike Zeke, can play STs. None of those ps backs are going to make this team a juggernaut. But it could make it better.

That’s not a “statement”. It’s about getting better.

That fat little puke is still on the graphic as the starting rb for the team. He stinks and Jerry stinks the whole team stinks

I want him to stick around and continue to be terrible so we no more stragglers left that believe he can still be valuable to this team. Leave no doubt.

Shoutout to Zeke, man he was one of my favorite players, but it's time to let him go.

Why have they not given Cooks a chance, he damn sure couldn't be any worse? Maybe after the bye?

The Lions game only reinforced what I posted.

Jerry didn't wants him to look better than Zeke then he might have had to cut Zeke.

Because Cooks is even more washed than Zeke, our RB group is that sad
I'm ready to put the call out to the stands, and see if some fans played RB in high school within the last 10 years. Can't be worse than what we have now.
