He’s a one trick pony and his one trick only works against bad teams.

He’s horrible in run support and can’t play a full drive without coming out a few plays.

He can have games where you wouldn’t know he was playing if you wasn’t looking for him.

He's NEVER been the guy that made a big play when the defense needed it.

He looks completely disinterested when he or the team isn’t playing well.

He, more so than any player I’ve seen, has “will quit when paid” written all over him. He has too much outside of football stuff going on and adding generational wealth to it will only make it worse.

There is NO WAY I make him the highest paid defensive player ever.

We wonder why we so far behind the Eagles and Commanders are now on the tip of our a_____. Yet we have fans consitently ripping our best players.....trade, release, bench.

I like Micah and he is a game changer.

But I can only think of a few games he single handily wrecked like Watt, Garrett, Hutch or Bosa.

You dont trade a Micah and people tend to overreact when the season is bad.

If this team was smart we would offload him for 2 1’s. His second contract will be injury riddled, he is undersized and typically can’t last a full season, his body will break down sooner

Well-said. His run defense is horrible, and like most Cowboy players he is moody, self-absorbed, and in the big games he’s a no-show.

MountaineerCowboy.......can't disagree with some of your description of #11, but you have to understand, it may be predicated on market value. It will not mean it's because he is the best in the league.....just like Dak's contract. It's all about timing, and I guarantee you.....it's also endorsed by the NFLPA and the player brethren........it moves the salary goalposts for other players too. That is the business side......not the personal side that the base wants to cling on.

Now while Micah is talking about what would pleasing.......his agent will nullify that, by telling Micah to "shut your mouth" ......whatever salary he gets will be top 3, at a minimum. But let's see who is in the Edge rusher range.....Bosa, of course, Watts, and Myles Garrett (#7) and Josh Allen (Jax) pop out immediately. I don't see him being better than the ones I just mentioned.....but timing and market value will unveil in his favor and set the market for the next man.

He will get paid, and as usual, we will call him out every time he doesn't perform to our expectations.......reasonable or not. I suggest he get earplugs after the contract and keep smiling.

Jerry has a choice......pay or let him go for some value. He could have done the same with Dak. The hate and expectation to do all by himself is coming, and worth $5M alone, in my opinion. Just sayin'.

The expectation that one player can win games is unreasonable. The reason Micah struggles is because there is no one on this defense to compliment his abilities. There is no push up front. There is no threat on the opposite side of the field. The Cowboys desperately need an inside pass rush alongside Micah. They need other players to help collapse the pocket.

IMO, this is the problem with the Cowboys management. They choose to depend too much on single players. CeeDee is the only receiver we need. Dak will carry the offense. We have Tyler Smith on the OL so what else do we need? We have Micah rushing the passer so we're good there.

You look at the Eagles and Lions, and even the Packers and Vikings. Those teams have a lot of good quality players. They play team football.

Unfortunately, Jerry thinks the triplets are the reason he won 3 Lombardi trophies. But the fact is those teams were loaded.

This 2024 Cowboys team is so devoid of talent I am shocked they won 7 games. Parsons is not the problem. Although, I do acknowledge sometimes it does look like he is not giving 100% effort.

and in the big games he’s a no-show.
Can you prove this as factual or just repeating what others have said? I have yet to see a poster back this up with facts......

** what "big games"
** what metrics are we using?
** how many "big games"
** he can impact games w/o stats......it's called opening opportunties for teammates

been saying this for a while.
but he will become one of the highest if not the highest paid.
His jersey sales were tops in NFL last year and that is important to Jerry jones.

Garett and Bosa teams are worse than the Cowboys. You can make an argument that both San Francisco and Cleveland are more disappointing.

Again it’s already starting on the board. Fans are turning on the players when the biggest problem will be hosting two shows a week on the fan talking about All in and glory holes.

Good post.

We've already missed the window with Parsons.

This is peak Micah and it's not enough without more support, and we won't have the means to support him if we pay him.

And his peak will peter out in just a few short years, making his contract an albatross.
