It's time to BOO

I walked away in 2008 from decades of a season ticket holder and vowed to never purchase a ticket from Cowboys tickets again from Jethro.

I won’t walk away from being a fan nor the NFL so indirectly I’m still supporting. It’s not the players fault we have such a narcissistic owner and dysfunctional organization.

While tens of thousand of longtime season ticket holders joined me unfortunately the corporate world took over along with younger businessman who had wanted for years to have access for better season tickets .

We argued being locked in for 30 years with PSL’s wouldn’t allow fans to stay away but they vowed they could broker some tickets if necessary which has ultimately placed us in this pickle . Unlike in the 80’s when fans became disenchanted and stayed away in record numbers .
As bad as Jerry is...at some point in 30 years the players need held accountable too.

They know what's up with Jerry. They may be dumb but they're not stupid (I love saying that even about myself haha). They know this is a Country Club...no accountabily for THEM either.

Our most dedicated driven play was an offensive lineman driving the D out of bounds? Where's the fire?

I'll give a few players a pass. I think Ceedee would rather be on a different...winning...team.

Players don’t have control . Sure they could push for free agency instead of resigning I suppose but it could detract careers.

And why the players can hold some accountability for the results but ultimately we all know the one constant throughout resides with no accountability and the hindrance limiting coaching and front office creating the greatest obstacle . It’s a Shonda .

If I was Dak and I was serious about wanting a shot at a Lombardi, I would tell my agent to see if he could somehow get on either the trading block or ask for his release at the end of the season.

I’m sure because of his contract a release would be unrealistic but a trade might be an option.

On the right team, Dak would be a fit for a playoff team looking to make a run in the next two years. Here? Not even close. If I was Dak I would want out.

Sometime in the second half last night, after watching the Cowboys defense unable to stop the Bucs and their UDFA rookie QB convert on a 3rd and 21, the boo birds came out in force at AT&T. And they continued the rest of the night.

My reaction: Good. It’s one of only two weapons fans have to use against the arrogance and hubris of this owner. Booing in person or even better, not buying the product.

When fans boo, it’s probably the only feedback Jerry gets that is honest since he is surrounded by sycophants and yes men. Never is heard a discouraging word within the walls of the Star when it comes to the long needed accountability at the top.

So even if you’re the biggest homer on this board, it’s time to boo. It’s past time to send a message.

In fact…Here are some points to consider when wondering what to boo:
  • Going back to 2024, the Cowboys are 1-5-1 in their last 7 “prime time” home games.
  • The Cowboys are the first home team since 1975 to lose to an 0-4 opponent at home.
  • Jerry has traded away almost all of the team’s 2027 draft picks in his aggressive “rebuild” of the defense. (He doesn’t know what he’s doing. He’s never been good at rebuilding a roster)
  • This off-season, once again the leaders of this team sold a huge bill of goods about this off-season and this new team and DC “being different”. Many fans drank that kool aid. It’s not different other than a new cast finding ways to lose.
It’s time to boo! As loud and as often as we can.
Let's start a BOOZone...not BOOZEone

Of cpourse players "have control".

Did Jerry botch the receptions for interceptions? IS Ferg such an inept player he can;t catch a pass? That's on him.

No Jerry SHOULD remove Bland pronto so that might be on him!

I'm just saying it's not just ONE single thing. You're gonna be a Dallas Cowboy and you can;t find it in yourself to EXCEL? Not when you can demand or beg for a contract and don't have to earn it afterward.

He might have to take a paycut...for the brotherhood. :)

Which I would do IN A HEART BEAT if I were him. He and his family are set for generations. Why not try for a different prize?

Understood and there is some accountability for players of course but when it comes to the culture, etc that falls on the leadership, including GM, FO , HC and staff.

And when players are in a country club environment answering to our owner instead of HC , it’s a problem. And that can bleed over into performance , etc

Because the money is the priority . This is a profession can end on the next snap. And their kind of lifestyles they may not be set for life.

Winning makes it more fun but in the end for most it’s about making it while they can.

Remember only a few players are making the big money. About half of NFL players only make about a million year. And those careers average less than 5 years.

Here is a Google search to support

While the average NFL salary is quite high (roughly $3.2 million), the median salary is much lower, sitting at approximately $860,000 to $900,000.

Because of this skew, a massive portion of NFL players—roughly 40% to 50% of active roster players—earn at or very near the league minimum, which hovers right around the $800,000 to $1.1 million range depending on years of service.

Naaa. It won’t matter . He’s a narcissist. Has half a nation hating and booing against our Populist leader made a difference .

Only thing that’s going to make any difference is hitting rock bottom. But we’ve been there before with 5-11 and 1-7. Ultimately it’s not bringing the change at top we all are looking for. Only Mother Nature.

Jerry (to Stephen): Boy the crowd is getting into the Halloween Spirit early this year. Do you hear all those ghost boo's
Stephen: That's right Big Poppa J!

Didn't hear much booing over the TV last night. Too many homer Cowboy fans that will buy whatever Jerry is selling for thinga to ever change.
I think its Cowboys fans just flabbergasted how bad this team is. More stunned silence than buying in.. I mean don't fault the fans for being fans. They spent $ hoping for a good time, and then witnessed one calamity after another for 60 minutes.
