Something has to give. Players need to know that there jobs are in jeopardy and the status quo isnt going to cut it.

Unfortunately that isnt the mentality of the coach OR the owner. I dont see how they can justify starting Crayton vs Atlanta when he has clearly been out played by Austin. Crayton keeps dropping passes and muffs a punt.

And if RW is ready to go next game: You'd put Roy across from Austin?
what about crayfish? He has worked his tail off. He's contributed (more than RW). Doesn't he deserve to start more than Roy "Ouch my Ribs!" Williams?

I appreciate what you are saying, but with the emertence of Austin we need to contemplate who really needs more balls thrown his way. The names Witten, Austin, Crayfish (even Hurd) come to mind, but not R "Ouch my Ribs!" W.

i think doug free can let people fly by him just as easily as flo can. i say play free and let him develop on the fly, he cant be any worse than flo has been. flo is done.

I think that the past game in Kansas City set a new all-time low for Flozell Adams. His penalties have always been an issue, but he's also not playing as well as he once did. To me at least, it looks like he's having a tougher time in pass protection these days.

Considering Adams' penalties and his declining level of play, I'm not convinced that the Cowboys would have lost much in Kansas City had Free played instead. Free was inconsistent in preseason, but he showed some ability and potential.

I'm beginning to think that the Cowboys should consider if it is better to absorb youthful mistakes from a developing player than to suffer the deteriorating play of an aging player.

So we should cut Miles Austin because he did drop 2 td's on Sunday right? And after he dropped them he clearly was flustered and never got back on track. Oh wait. He did didn't he? He won us the game. THis approach is dumb. These are veterans. What happened when Parcells traded Antonio Bryant for Quincy Morgan? Not a damn thing. The penalties still came.

Flo is a loser and a waste of a roster spot....if we can just get rid of this dead wieght I'll be a happy camper. WHen a new coach comes in there's NO WAY he will even visualize having FLO on the line up NEVER.

You and me both!

We could have had Michael Oher last year! AH!

It's just not that type of league anymore where you can cut guys during the season for making mental erros.

You have to gradually phase out players that continue to make mental mistakes.

One of the Cowboys main priorities should be trying to find a replacement for Flozell Adams.

I don't want to see the LT position hold this team hostage in the next few years.

In the offseason, we obviously should start with Flozell Adams...

Yeah, and THAT will happen, because it's not like Flozell has been making mistakes since he came into the league...

Who is going to cut him? Jerreh? Jerreh has been the one signing Flozell to contract after contract. What, you didn't think there was someone else who was going to make this decision did you?

These kind of threads are pointless, because the assume there is a decision maker in the coaches chair who is actually a coach.

I can't believe people actually want to bench Flo. That's crazy. He's always made these mistakes and he's not going to stop now in his mid 30s. He even made them for Parcells, and Bill didn't bench him either. Why? Because even with his limitations, he's still a darn good LT and better than the alternative.

I'd consider spelling him for a series after each pre-snap or dead ball penalty. We'd have to chip with backs and TEs, don't want to get Tony killed, but the combination of making the point that focus is important and getting a bit of tape on Free makes sense to me if the coaches think DF has potential as a replacement tackle next year.

We don't have to cut Flozell or permanently bench him but how about putting his butt down on the bench for a series, maybe even starting the game with Free. Doesn't seem money or extra running has done much over the years, let's see if rattling his ego can turn around a few of those mental mistakes. There hasn't been an Olineman in several years that has had any fear of losing playing time unless due to their own injury. The same could be said of most starters but definitely this has been the case with the OL.

Nothing rates higher with me than building a strong offensive line and sustaining it with solid drafting.

I appreciate Flozell Adams (Spags says his shoulder has been a big issue since hurting it 3 weeks ago) for all he has done and is still doing, but we never should have been forced to give him another contract extension out of sheer necessity.

I have no problem using a first rounder on offensive line talent.

Offensive tackles are graded out as the safest position to select in the first round, if memory serves.

I know we've had our fair share of OL turnips in the draft of late, but that's just more incentive to pick one early if still on the board.

Really, I have not seen TO, Roy Williams and Tank Johnson around. I love Jimmy but cutting Curvin Richards and a few others like him proved nothing they were never starting players and never were going to be starting players on that them.

Wade had no part in those decisions. His floating spine would not have been able to handle it. Thank you. Come again.
