It's too early for Roy Williams to be a prima donna and to be pouting

What's it going to be then, eh?

He's not pouting.

Now he is apparently still stinging from an offseason of excessive criticism, if that is what you mean.

My advice to you, RW the Unproven, be glad you have fellow players of the caliber of Witten, Bennett, Felix, Romo and Tash and Bash. Without them you'd even look more like the average player you are.

couldn't help finding this part a little ironic

I don't think Roy Williams is that kind of a player. When he was on his way out in Detroit, basically replaced by a rookie, I don't remember hearing all that much from him. Of course, he IS a wide receiver, and like most WRs, he has an ego, but his isn't even close to being out of control, unlike that of others I've seen recently.

lol you say that like he was being replaced by Joe Schmoe instead of the highest graded receiver to ever enter the draft.

In the past few days, I've read stories about RW pouting to the media, telling them that he's the worst WR in a mocking self-critique, blah, blah, being defensive and today I read that he's saying he and Romo are definitely not to where they want to be, that it is rare when he breaks and the ball is there etc. etc.

Roy, you second-tier WR and softie, you haven't done anything yet as a Lion or Dallas Cowboy to be deserving of prima donna status. You are replacing a legend, and as prima donna T.O. could be, at least he turned in performances like a great receiver.

Mark my words, gentlement, before the season is over he'll be yelling at Romo to throw TO HIM AND NOT TO WITTEN SO OFTEN.

But don't just disregard this premonition. Get back to me by mid-season as we look upon the RW Poor Ol' Me Show.

That was no slight against Johnson. I just meant that it had to be somewhat difficult for him to be replaced by the new guy. Some people's egos get bruised when that happens, you know. Yet, I don't remember him complaining about it.

Seems some really want to see RW fail. He has had a full camp with Romo and the team. Give him a chance if he fails it is on him and Jerry. It seems people are going out of their way to find something negative to pin on Williams. He has been question and hammered all off season long and yet all he has done is get right back to work and putting in the time and getting himself in excellent shape for this upcoming season. I'm sure the constant questioning is getting under his skin as I think most would find that irritating after a while

I knew exactly what you meant, Dodger, and it's a good point, but it will be ignored because it doesn't fall in line with the ongoing bashfest.

The potential for injury is the sole possibility which might cause Roy Williams from being effective in this offense. Some may wish to cry or insinuate that he has to perform like Terrell Owens or better than him. He does not. Williams is a very good wide receiver. When he's on the field, he'll get the job done; and he'll do so even if his overall numbers aren't Terrell Owenish.

I agree

If we were talking about fantasy football then those stat numbers would really mean a lot however the NFL is not fantasy football and if RW can help get this team into the post season and beyond to me that justifys him being here.

Your post has some valid things to consider IMO. Too bad it is lost in all of the LOOK AT ME in it.

Yep. There might have been some decent discussion to be had except that it was pretty clear what this post was really about.

As for seeing you at mid season that will be a waste. When Roy is doing well, and there aren't any problems, you'll avoid any topics that point this out just so you won't have to back track.

Whether you loved, liked or hated him, Bill Parcells was a great quote machine nonetheless.
