For once in a very long time I got to say the front office has done its job and provided enough talent to be successful.

Quarterback top 10
Wide receiver room probably best in the league
Running back great starter good depth and with the center of this offensive line we should be able to run the ball.
Tight end Good very serviceable

Okay yes steel sucks but every player can't be a pro bowler that's what we pay the quarterback $60 million for we need a little improvising overcome in that situation.

Defense geez real defensive tackles that can stop the run.

Line backer situation much improved could end up being a strength

Cornerbacks healthy showing promise safeties very good.

Pass rush no elite stand out but should survive well working by committee. I know we got von Miller but I'm not banking our whole pass rush on a guy that old everybody hits the wall at some point.

If we can't do it it's on the coaching staff because there is definitely enough talent to win in the playoffs.

We have to win in our division first.
the coaches here have been to and won Super bowls .
Will we be out coach by men who have proved themselves on the biggest stage or will we be able to rise to the occasion.

My first clue will be if we play disciplined football and have very few penalties

Very well said.

I still belive 2027 is the first year they might compete for a chip but it depends heavily on 2026 and what strides are made.

As for coaching, I still dont like our odds when facing more experienced coaching staffs or gurus like Ben Johnson
I agree I think we have the talent this year to make the playoffs and win a game or two.

But my gut tells me that this coaching staff is going to need to be a little battle tested before it is capable of winning a championship.

Fortunately we have guys in our division that have coached their way into Super bowls and should show us where we stand as far as being able to compete in big moments with the x's and o's

Our Division is soft. If we can't win the Division we are not a legit playoff team.

Although we all know our defense was putrid last season I'm hyped to see how much better they can be. Adding the DTs was the catalyst for my hope but we still obviously have questions at Edge, LB and CB.

To be real we have to compare our defensive rosters next to NFC teams like the Packers, Eagles, Vikings, Seahawks, etc, etc.

Let the games begin!!

I think we will no what the Cowboys look like in the first 5 games....Im not predicting anything great from this defense but I do think it will be much improved. I mean come on now, they were last in the league last in about every metric out there. I really think this team is headed in there right direction and will go as far as DAK can take them...the offense is the key. For once, I feel like this team has a chance to be competitive.

Once the roster is in his great shape, it's about the QB and head coach.
I like Dak and if ever there was a golden opportunity this is certainly it.
This offense is about a stacked as you could ask for in the salary cap era.
He should for sure have all the help he needs.

You would also think that Brian schottenheimer being the son of great coach Marty at this point in his life would be at the top of his game.
Mean he must have ate and slept football his whole life you would think he would have the knowledge to get it done but it has to be proven

Here is the perfect opportunity for our coaching staff to fix a glaring problem.

We just used draft capital on an offensive lineman that was a first round draft pick but is currently struggling.

Can our coaching staff do what the eagles did with makai becton and transfer an underachiever into a powerhouse .

This is what an elite coaching staff that has leadership qualities does it makes talented players play up to their ability.

The performance of the front office in the offseason is just as important as the play on the field. Dallas loses before the season begins in many cases.

Good point about winning the division. They won’t get any further than usual with having to play on the road.

Don’t know that we will ever see a Dallas team without a ton of penalties. People forget this but they were a problem even when tough guy Parcells was here.

There will be some growing pains on Defesne.
Once opponents game plan. The good thing it will take 3 or 4 game for other teams to get more film on to dissect what Parker is doing. However I am sure teams feel it will be based off of Fangio's system, and will look at some Eagles film form the past if things look familiar.

But this also gives time for the Defesne to gel. And see how Parker adapts to opponents offenses.

I still see a winning season and at least a WC. But also feel the will compete for the NGCE tile.

I doubt we will come out showing 100% of our new defense with new players in the 1st 4 weeks of the season. As the defense comes together and Parker understands what his players are capable of more and more will be released throughout the season.

If Guyton can be good then at least Dak's blindside is mostly protected. It's not an ideal way to call plays but you can help Steele with TEs and RBs — and on plays when he is left alone then at least Dak can see what's coming off the right side. That said, Steele needs to at least be a decent run-blocker, which he usually is — otherwise he's nothing but a liability and needs to be taken off the field to give someone else a shot at it. In that case, I say just keep alternating players at RT all you can... I guess.

It's actually a luxury for there to only be one problem on Offense to start the season.
