Have we become so used to Jerry that anytime he does bare minimum we praise him?

Of course but the point was Dak choked in similar fashion as Micah. Which makes it relevant.
Sorry, I disagree. This discussion is about Micah and nothing to do with Dak. That is a different topic, even if there may be similarities.
No there's not. Numbers are more or less equal. Maybe a half dozen or so on each side.
i respect your assessment but there’s like 4 on the positive side and like 10 on the negative.

No, it's about even.

Gary consistently gets 7-10 sacks and is a beast vs the run. Topnotch SSLB. People on this board are weirdly underrating him. Wish we had 2 of him.
He was abysmal the second half of the season. It’s kind of like saying Clowney had 8 sacks….yeah he did but 3 of them came against the Giants. Sacks don’t tell the whole story I imagine if they did they wouldn’t have paid Micah 48 million and wouldn’t have traded Gary.

No he wasn't. He was solid as per usual. This is just silly fan stuff. The SSLB position is generally not a high sack position. 6-10 is the norm.

Genuinely curious, and this isnt to spark an angry debate.

This is a genuine question from someone that has seen this happen time and time again and wants to gauge why this happens here all the time.

Have we as a fanbase, become so used to Jerry and his family failing, that any time he does the BARE MINIMUM of his job description, we praise him for it?

Are we this conditioned by his terrible off-seasons that when he does literally the bare minimum of signing a guy on time or using FA the way everyone else does we celebrate it like we just won our 6th?

Why do fans who are justifiably upset and taking a wait and see approach ostracized so much on this site?

I am excited about the moves that were made, but I am cautiously optimistic mainly because I have 0 faith in the head coach of this team.

Can they prove me wrong, of course, and I will be the first to admit it, but can we stop praising people for showing up to work?
Well ya'll don't praise him when he makes QW and KC trades lol. So what's the point

Rashan Gary after Micah’s injury

From Week 6 through Week 17 (Gary’s remaining games after the injury):

* Games: 11
* Sacks: 2.0
* Tackles: 22
* Forced fumbles: 0
* Interceptions: 0
* He went sackless from Week 9 through the end of the regular season.

Longtime Dallas Cowboys fans are like the skinny Ethiopian child, with flies buzzing into their eyes and eating a bowl of rice. So thankful for the bowl of rice. Sorry for the analogy because this is just a game and the other is real life. This franchise has the longest of any NFC team drought not to play in a conference finals. Jerry Jones has been selling FOOLS GOLD/pyrite to the starving fan base for 30 years. The loyalty has Cowboys fans craving for a bowl of rice for any success, only to end a season craving for any morsel and then thanking Jerry for selling more FOOLS GOLD the next season, the next season and so on. And deep down, we all know, like the Oakland/LA/Las Vegas Raiders, Al Davis ruin that once proud franchise. Jerry still sells his toy enough to get his prize possession, in the spotlight with prime time games and in the playoffs far more than the former known as "Just Win Baby".
Until the talk is replaced by playing in the NFC Conference ( got to get to this game before a SB), personally I have turned my "diehard' fandom into just enjoying the game. Not buying into anymore pyrite and just take the bowl of rice and being thankful.

You can recognise progress, and on the other hand still hold them to a higher standard that they’ve yet to reach.

Doesn’t mean we ignore the progress. Just don’t over-applaud it. I think most folk on here have attained a good balance that way - the large minorities of homers and haters aside.
