J.Reeves... not surpised by cowboys drop off

One, Reeves does suck, and for him to talk semi-trash is beyond hilarious.

And two, what he said was so vague as to be almost insignificant. "I wasn't surprised they declined because I've been in that environment." What does that even mean? We have no idea.

Sounds like classic sour grapes to me. I'm sure we can look forward to similar comments from Glass Burnett next year.

But at least his team has a chance of being decent, unlike the definition-of-mediocre Texans.

Couldn't be sour grapes of any kind. After all Reeves was badly desired on his hometown team, Dallas, was greatly missed at CB and if the Texans had fallen down to 9-7 he'd have no case.

Wait a minute we've just entered bizarro-world.

What's next Keyshawn, Antonio Bryant, explain the intricacies of designing a passing attack and where management went wrong.
Just more genius logic for the JJ and Wade haters.

I love you guys dissing Reeves right now.
Are you kidding? He knows 100% more than we do. And he was right. So all you dissing should shut up.

I just love when a guy who was on the inside speaks his mind and everyone hammers him rather than just taking a time out and thinking "hmmmmm...we've heard some similar comments...maybe..."

But we know Reeves is just making things up. Only if Reeves were a Pro Bowler, could we believe anything the man has to say. Talent = Integrity. Duhhh.

You guys will believe any source as long as it fits your agenda.

Especially when the players in question are not making excuses or throwing anybody directly under the bus.

By the same token, people that are glad that Thomas is gone because he was uncomfortable with the (lack of) team chemistry, miss the point.

I never liked Reeves the pllayer, but I've got nothing wrong with him pointing out our obvious underachievement.

I have no idea what Reeves "knew was going on in that environment" or not. Talk about being as vague as possible.

I guess he is saying that he sensed that there was no chemistry in the locker room. Of course this was right after a 13-3 season, so how could it have been that bad???

Anyways, it doesnt matter now. Jerry has pulled out the hose and washed the locker room out.

And for the record, REEVES FREAKING SUCKED AT CB!!!

And of course in this case, "any source" is an NFL player who was actually in the locker room. Riiiighhhttttt.

Lies!!! All lies!!! If Reeves had more interceptions, maybe then he would deserve to the right to share his opinions and experiences. But only then.

Good post. I will take it one step further and add that people coming out and trying to twist these innocuous comments into something thats pointed at coaches or management is that much more of a joke.

lmao at the texans pleased with his play last year....not from the whining ive heard the past year down here...from the fans and front office.

Of course, because when Parcells left, Spears just exploded with productivity and became dominant. So did Julius Jones.

Hindsight is 20/20. Also, it's kind of hard to improve on 13-3.

Seriously, though. Why is anyone paying attention to what a CB who was obviously the worst CB on the roster says?

Hello?

Just looking for insights.

None of us is in the lockerroom.

What has his playing ability got to do with his ability to communicate what happened behind closed doors and within the organization? With that kind of thinking, the only guys we'd pay attention to are the star players...how probably have the most warped perspective of all.

What I'm saying is, I'm not taking his word as gospel but I'm also not going to knee jerk hammer the guy simply because he speaks his mind. I'll take his words into consideration with the words of others and try to form an opinion about a situation that none of us has much of an insight into.

On the nosey. I didn't sense an agenda here.

If a marginal player came out and said "Hey, I think the atmosphere is great" I wouldn't immediately start saying "What does he know, he sucked" I'd read and incorporate his point of view with the rest I've read and formulate an opinion.

And I would remind people that Reeves has not been in our locker room for over a year.

And the fact he could have hammered the Cowboys but didn't.

How many times do different people - players, ex-players, anonymous sources in the front office and in the lockerroom, NFL commentators - have to say the same thing before some Cowboys fans get the big picture?

This team was soft, star-struck, lacked discipline and thought by merely stepping on the field it could win.

Hopefully, we'll see changes this upcoming season. Hopefully.

I don't see it as piling on...It's not as if Reeves has been shooting his mouth off to every media outlet in the country...nor did Canty. When a team underachieves as this team did, it's going to be discussed. When a team is in the spotlight because that is where the owner wants the team to be, ya gotta take the media focus. Ya can't have the positives of being one of the most noticed franchises in sports without the negatives.

I also don't see it as dwelling on the past...I see it as focusing on the problem. The fact is that some of the current problems (which seemingly are being resolved) caused the past results.

Man, this is so spot on it's powerful.

Ya ever see a woman with a low cut blouse get ticked off because one of us guy types takes a look? (like Sarge or Yeager...because I'm way too sophisticated to do such a thing)

Same thing with the Cowboys. If ya don't want the attention, then don't take a high profile.
