J Train Smith

Did they though? When he came back from injury he played didn't he?
There have been times when Jaylon and Lee were in the game with Hitchens on the sideline.

It seems obvious they want Jaylon to win the job.

It seemed obvious to me that he was coming off injury and they were rotating LB as they have in the past. Hitchens did start.

Mike- SLee
Will- JSmith
Sam- DWilson

Backup- Hitchens (4/12m)
Backup- Draft3
Backup- FA
Backup- Draft5
Not enough, IMO.

Need Hitchens AND a similar player in free agency plus consider early round to draft one.

I'm fairly confident that we'll opt for taking a LB with one of our early picks (1st or 2nd round.)

I feel the need is a pretty desperate one. Naturally, much depends upon the available quality.

I don't write him off but I also don't go into the offseason thinking he's a piece you can count on. I look to fill all three starting LB positions. Obviously you're not going to do that in one offseason but the point is no matter where that new LB fits, Sam, Will, Mike, he fits on this team.

I agree but You can bet that our FO figures that they're set at LB if they resign Hitchens

He was playing so bad a couple weeks ago that the only way is up from here.

Not sold, still think his ceiling is low, don't care much about him at all. Don't think he'll be on this team long.

gonna like watching you eat crow starting next year

He’s a player that has been away from the game for an entire season rehabbing and he is improving with experience. Who would of thought?

I agree with Risen though. I wouldn’t even act like he is on the roster come draft time. If he wins a starting spot, great but we need to add several linebackers.
Ruben Foster would have been a perfect fit at MLB.

I can’t disagree.

I am not writing Taco off after a few games like some people—but, considering how good Lawrence/Irving and even Crawford has been for the majority of the season makes me think we could’ve waited on DE for another year. We put way too much stock in Smith and Lee staying healthy for the 3rd straight season.
