Jack at SLB or WLB?

Could jack play the SAM? Sure. It would likely be a significant waste of his skill set, but sure, I bet he could play a decent SAM position.

But the reason you draft him is because of his athleticism, his speed, his ability to work in space.............. that works better at the WILL spot. So if you draft Jack with the intentions of making him a SAM LB, then that's questionable.

It would be like purchasing a Ferrari to haul your 25 foot ski boat.

The entire point of my post was they could both play all three downs. I simply said I would rotate them at SAM so neither is fighting that strong side the whole game as it's more prone to wear a guy down. When I said rotate them at SAM, I meant one plays SAM and the other plays WILL, then switch them.

Yes, got you. Makes sense.
