Video: Jack Sanborn Highlights

Remember, Hitchens was drafted when Eberflus was our LB Coach. He had athletic limitations, but was a solid starter that always was in the right spots to make plays. We don't need a star, just a steady starter.
I do remember I needed to keep that same energy when you realize our whole entire coaching staff was changed in order to change a lot about our team including the trenches that are bringing in their own players not many but it doesn't take many they're just needing to spread what their expectations are and make sure everybody's in the right spot and know what the expectations of the coach is trying to convey that is why these players are here they're bringing in their type of guys and it's not going to get done in one offseason but yes the coaching staff's going to make a big difference all across the board..

We will be an improved team by default ,

because of injuries there was an excessive amount of injuries last year if that doesn't happen this year we're improved ,

the coaching staff alone improves this team and then you have the moves made in the offseason is from said staff, a lot of them are giving input on who to draft and who to bring in as free agents, all of that together says this team is improved,

Every bit of your perspective and most of your write ups or you don't see improvement, why because they didn't bring in Aaron Donald, because the name on the back of the jersey doesn't fit your mind, but I said this before you go get a guy like Keenan Allen or Amari Cooper or Debo Samuels, hey because they have a name it would make you feel like this team was improved no I telling you they all had down years last year and the moves we made are probably better regardless of what their names are on the back of the jersey they fit the scheme better they're going to fit this team better and we should just wait and see how this all works out before we condemn it to there's been no improvement I see no improvements....

I mean, this is why sometimes when you bring a $17 million pass rusher in name Huff it didn't even work out for Philadelphia in year one big name free agent was supposed to light up the world and didn't do a damn thing so why don't we let this new group coached by this new staff have a chance to actually show it on the field before we make this assessment that nothing's been really improved...

Saying a player has similarities is actually not criminal he moves like him he looks like him that's not saying he is him there's a lot more that goes into it that's actually a compliment that Jean Lee when someone you see that's Young three years in the league and you could take a look and it kind of reminds you of the way he moves it reads and reacts on plays they have similar body size there's nothing wrong with that no one's saying this man is Sean Lee they're saying he reminds some people of Sean Lee including myself and is not criminal it's actually a compliment to Sean Lee no one's saying this man is going to be Sean Lee but let's just hope he doesn't have the injury bug sean Lee has I don't want that part of it....

Some of these linebackers they brought in this year; Murray ,Sanborn, and even James James' law undersized he kind of looks more like a strong safety, they do kind of move like that, they are read react downhill ,side to side, they can cover some, yes, they have similarities to Sean Lee there's nothing wrong with that....

When you look at that video there's a hope bunch of moments in there that it looks like you were watching Sean Lee.. That doesn't mean we're calling the guy Sean Lee just like some running backs you see run they can remind you of Emmett Smith that doesn't make them Emmett Smith.....
Hey to each other own I just don’t see it at all. Seems like lazy comparison because of skin colour. Sean Lee moved way better. Instinctually and physically. You guys are putting a lot of stock into a Lb that signed a 1 year 1.5 mill contract.

Talent usually wins out. Every team does need quality role players to make their stars shine. Sanborn, like Kendricks will help with the defensive transition as he knows Eberflus scheme.

Yet to each their own and I'm saying in that video I saw a lot of the type of players Sean Lee is I didn't call him Sean Lee move better you mean when he wasn't limping broke down and hurt sure he moved great the man was a icon he was a Hall of Famer that never was come on dude...

Give it a rest and know it has nothing to do with color the fact that I watched the video and I remember Sean Lee vividly and I say he moves very similarly... But at the same time I compared him to Anthony Hitchens you want to remind me of what color he was I mean get over it this is nothing to do with color race has everything to do with me seeing traits in people.....

I mean I could say that Turpin looks a lot like cole beasly And that's ok because I'm not trying to make it about two white players or should I be blasted to say Beasley and Amendola looked a lot alike and it was really dumb for the Cowboys to let almondola go oh my god he's a small white receiver I cannot believe I made that distinction..lol.

I don't see a great similarity to Lee. Yes, Sanborn has gotten pas his lack of elite athletics based off his reading of the play. But IMO in terms of moving in space, coverage, laterally etc is where Lee shined.
Both weren't elite athletes, but IMO Lee was a step or two above Sanborn with elite instincts as well.

Think the Hitchens comp is a better one. Both are tackling machines, play the run well. Liability of sorts in the passing game.

Sean Lee?

Man you guys really grasp at straws.

Sean Lee when healthy was one of the best LBs in football.

Sanborn is not that. Jeeze why can’t we just speak the truth on this site?

You know who Bland reminds me of? Deion sanders. Because I said so. And he gets a lot of pick 6s.
Your "Jeeze why cant we just speak the truth on this site" about covers all of it.
