Jacques Reeves staying put in Texas... signs with Houston

As a #4 he would be OK. As a #3 he is barely adequate.

That has been my opinion also. Solid #4/special teamer, poor #3.

A sad day for Dallas.

Reeves was one of the fastest players on the team.

Wish him a lot of luck.

He deserved a lot better than he got with us.
This is a happy day for Dallas. A first round draft pick will be a better player and come cheaper than Reeves.

Fastest player? So what. Suspect skill set far out weighs speed.

Wish him luck? I guess. Whatever.

He deserved better? He is a career backup who got playing time due to an injury and parlayed that into a new contract. You can't get any luckier than that because he clearly got more than he deserved.

Was everyone in the Texans FO smoking something when they agreed to pay that contract to Reeves?

Texans | Reeves agrees to five-year deal

John McClain, of the Houston Chronicle, reports the Houston Texans have agreed to terms on a five-year, $20 million contract with free-agent CB Jacques Reeves (Cowboys).

Here's the beef.

I didn't care how long he lasted as long as he signed with someone else.
BINGO. you are right on the money. Reeves flatout sucks.

one posted this on the Texans forum...

"I thought he was good last year. Remember, Cowboy fans also swear that Roy Williams is a better safety than Ronnie Lott was. I've actually had that argument with a couple of them. So, when they rip a player, take it with a grain of salt."

:lmao:;)

Wow...that guy must have talked to a Cowboys fan 3 years ago who was saying silly things. But I doubt he'll find a single Cowboys fan that would even call Roy Williams a top 10 SS in the league today.

Fast with no instincts, no coverage ability, and liked to get beat. I really don't see how us losing him hurt us at all.

I like how you pull out the play where he absolutely should have been called for PI on as your defense that he made a play.

Where is the video of Steve Smith blowing by him for the TD in that game?

What in the WORLD did Houston see in this stinker?? Seriously??

Even when he DID have good coverage, he just COULDN'T locate the ball(Remember the first Skins game when Campbell was always able to successfully throw at his tight coverage-you saw how Reeves had no clue where the ball was).

No wonder why Wade always had him play off 10 yards-he had no end speed to boot.

I would have gladly signed him back here to be our 4th corner. But anything more than that would not have been worth it.

Good luck in Houston.

Did you really think Reeves would last long as a FA?

Jerry really dropped the ball on this one.

Maybe our new 35 year old ILB can play corner?

LOL... more like a reason to party...

Reeves was one of the fastest players on the team.

Definitely the fastest STIFF on the team...

He deserved a lot better than he got with us.

He's a no-talent bum who got a chance to start for America's Team, albeit briefly... he should be paying the Boys for the chances they gave him...

Good luck to you over on the Toxins' board, we're really gonna miss you...

Or not...

I am pretty sure he can play 15 yards off like your boy.

In fact, I would rather have Zach covering just about anybody over your boy.

The Texans are throwing a party on their board, maybe you should go join them.:)
