Jags making a push for Murray?

Other than Linder, the Jax offensive line is... offensive (grades courtesy of PFF).

If Murray wants to go there... good luck with that!

OL Zane Beadles 1.9
OL Luke Joeckel -15.8
OL Luke Bowanko -9.2
OL Brandon Linder 16.6
OL Austin Pasztor -7.8
OL Sam Young -8.8
OL Jacques McClendon -13.1
OL Cameron Bradfield -7.6
OL Josh Wells -1.0

All the money in the world wouldn't be worth being subjected to such a bottom of the barrel fail of a franchise like the Jaguars. Go ahead DeMarco...

If he goes there it is for money and nothing else.

Funny. Some of you actually believe Murray is going to sign with the Jags, don't you?

Common sense, people. It is not a crime. Murray is not signing with the Jags.

Good thing is that we will know in a few days. if iit even takes that long. i think if the Jags offer a big enough deal i think, he is gone. and i would not blame him one bit.

Along with Laurent Robinson.

I think from a contrarian perspective, Lauren Robinson is an example for Murray why going to Jacksonville is a good idea for him too. He suffered life-altering injury (4 concussions in 4 months) but at least got paid his $14 million guaranteed. It didn't work out statistically for Robinson but in the Not-For-Long league he at least got paid.

I wouldn't blame him either. Nor would I blame the Cowboys for not signing him to a deal that goes beyond the stupid range.

Yahoo's Charles Robinson reports the Jaguars "could push hard" to push free agent DeMarco Murray out of the Cowboys' price range.

Robinson reports the Jags are seeking a "centerpiece" back. Jax is awash in cap space, and would win a bidding war with Dallas if Murray pursues top dollar.

This could be a blessing in disguise. I love Murray and whats he's don't for this team but Im not paying the RB position 7 mil a year. Running backs are a dime a dozen

Cash in, DM. This is the last big contract you'll get.

We haven't that many good ones the last 15 years. In fact we've only had 3 1000yd seasons since Emmitt left and two of those were by Murray the last 2 years.

I guess someone needs to go back and get a big load of dimes

If the Jags offer him 4/40 and our offer is 4/28, do you really think Murray is going to piss away $12M? Don't forget, Romo could take a shot in pre-season and this team is right back to middle of the pack in the league anyway. The defense is still lacking badly, and with no Romo teams will put 10 in the box on Murray. Then he's $12M poorer AND winning just as many trophies with Dallas as he would with Jax.

That's why guys take the money. Predicting which team is going to be better 2 years from now is a fools errand in this league.

If it's the Jaguars, yes I do.

I said this was possible a few weeks ago and a few morons were like they have backs they are happy with, nothing could be further than the truth.

Money talks bigger than the "I want to go to a contender" crap for many players, if the Jags open up that giant cap space checkbook and offer him a crazy deal, Murray will take it and live with the consequences.

You know they would promise him a beefed up line and their vision to turn around their fortunes whether being realistic or not.

If Murray takes the cash, just draft one or two of these players from this rich RB draft and take the money saved to get an impact DE in free agency!

The fact that Sam Young is still in the league tells you a lot about the quality of O Lineman out there. That guy could'nt play dead.

I want Murray here but I believe the same thing you wrote. It's about pay day first, as it should be. If he's not coming back, hit the draft.
