Jaguars loss doesn't seem so bad

That loss is part of the difference between facing the stinking Giants or Brady/Niners to get to the NFCCG, still looks pretty bad to me.

That was such a Chargers type game. They always find a way to lose. If I was them, I'd give Payton a blank check.
McCarthy is the same guy as Payton. You want to give up two first-round picks for Payton?

Herbert is much better than Dak.
Herbert has a better arm. That's about it. He has pretty much choked in big games. No way in hell you can't say he choked last night when he couldn't score more than a FG in the second half.

It won't be two first round picks., Payton is only going to agree to coach one team so holding out for two first round picks will net New Orleans nothing. I'd gladly give up the #22 pick and a few other lesser picks/players.

Why?

There is literally nothing special about Sean Payton. He was Jason Garrett with Drew Brees. Nothing more.

If we lose Monday, there will be fans hoping the Bucs win the SB so they feel better about it because "at least we lost to the Champs."

Not at all what I would say. My point would be that an 8-9 team shouldn't be able to win the Super Bowl. That an 8-9 team being "champs" isn't good for the NFL, or its fans, and that it'd call for a rule change.

I don't think the NFL wants to see an 8-9 team in the championship — not even if it's a team led by Thomas Brady.

I'd be more upset about losing to the 8-9 team.

Herbert is better than Dak at literally everything, and he's 5 years younger.

These are better coach than Payton out there. The guy won one Super Bowl 14 years ago.
But he won one. I don't think he's the best coach ever, but if I was the owner of the Chargers, I would love to get someone with the success he's had.

Respectfully disagree. Herbert has not got the Chargers over the hump in big games. He has a great arm. He has great offensive talent around him. But they come up short.

Dak blew that game. Parsons strip the ball and got it back to Dallas when Jags were driving. Dak went 3 and out.

The Jags was a bad loss, but it pales in comparison to the GreenBay Loss. We are still mentally reeling from that game.
