Jaishawn Barham misunderstood, actually upset with himself during Giants game

I said in the other thread it was nothing. Do we want passionate players or not? Passion can look ugly when things are not going the way we want.

Looks like a lot of people got it wrong. A non-vocal video circulated showing rookie LB Jaishawn Barham pulling away from new D-Coordinator, Christian Parker, on the sidelines during the Giants/Cowboys game where the Cowboys Defense was run over, passed on and continuously scored on all game long. Many (including myself) took that video clip as Barham refusing to accept coaching correction. Instead, it was the complete opposite. Coach Parker was trying to calm Barham down because of how upset Jaishawn Barham was of his own bad performance on the field.





Apologies to LB Jaishawn Barham. Context was truly lacking in that video. Some of us fans took it wrong by mistake. For that we apologize. It is great to have a rookie LB who cares so much about his own performance as a Dallas Cowboy that he shows off such passion and emotional distress towards himself on the sideline. It says a lot when a player, especially a rookie, gets so upset with himself that he tears up in front of his coach and fellow players. We have been missing a LB with that much passion in a very long time.

Mr. Jaishawn Barham, please accept our sincere apologies for misconstruing what we saw on video and wrongfully attacking you. You did nothing wrong on the sideline. You actually did what we have not seen (extreme passion and self accountability) in a player in such a very long time. Thank you for showing how much you care. Stay focused. Use your anger to fuel your desire to correct your mistakes, and go let it out on our opponents going forward.

Just shows how much media and our fans overreact too much, its game 1. New coaches new scheme etc. Give them time

I just want this team to show it on the field. Stop talking. Stop the podcasts. Stop the excuse making. And for once in 3 decades actually play dominant football consistently in the playoffs and make teams fear seeing us in a big game, under the spotlights.

I am sick of the front-running. Sick of the “we will learn from this” BS. Sick of their lack of having a collective ball sack to split between themselves when it comes to defending the Star.

Grow a pair. Sack up. And start punishing people, and for once, leave someone else to do the talking for you bc you said everything that you needed to on the field

He looked like he wanted to cry……..and if my performance was like his (the whole defense really) i would be mad at myself as well

……and Parker should be looking the same way Barham was because his playcaling looked just like what it was….first time as a D coordinator

My thoughts exactly and that's why I did not chime in on that thread the other day. Seemed pretty clear that the player was highly frustrated with something he had done on the field and the coach was trying to give him a pep talk

If you've got a guy that cares deeply hopefully you can coach him up to the point where he can get where you need him to be

Yes there is…..my senior year we did 2 a days, ran 50 wind sprints after every practice just to be down 46-6 at half time of game 1

You get a new defensive coach, and he wants to players to run the system that he has .
Rather than letting the players run the system that they’re built to run.
You don’t change players, to match the coaching style
You match the coaching style according to the players you have
