Isn't this why we were so high on Schoonmaker?

Focusing on Fergy, dude has played well outside of a couple drops. I'd like to see more vertical routes from the TE position, but I think the OL situation I prohibiting that aspect of the offense. I think will be TE1 and have a good enough season for everyone to be ok with him.

Schoonmaker needs more snaps! Forget about Hendershot, and give his snaps to Schoon because he needs to develop now. Cowboys should be looking at a strong 1-2 punch at TE.

*More vertical routes and more Schoon.

The problem is most fans don't understand why we drafted him. Then 5 months later he isn't better than Kelce and is a wasted pick. That line of thinking makes NO sense at all. NONE.
You're right, some players never get a chance.

I think most believe we could have better use of the 2nd round pick at Oline or the RB position

Ferguson is going to be good. Schoon looking like a wasted pick even if he turns out alright
Why? I don't understand why this is a thought process. Was bringing in Cooks a waste of resources because you already have Lamb? You can get 2 TEs on the field and you can do it often. If Schoon completely flops as a player then yeah I would agree, but just because Ferg is showing some promise I don't see as a negative to the Schoon pick.

huh, go figure. I've only been saying this since the minute Dalton left. Ferg is going to be a really good all around TE. That's the reason I was wondering why we passed on the OG for Schoonmaker. Nothing against Schoon, I like him and think he too has a chance to be a very good all around TE. But it just seemed like a knee jerk reaction to hearing all the hype saying that we needed to draft a new TE since we lost Shultz.

I'll pick it up for him...never prejudge a 'rook' before even his fourth game of the year.
