We shoulda been spooked about our o line that hasnt stayed healthy for the past 2 seasonsWe drafted him because we spooked about our TE's. It was a reach for need. Shoonmaker was a late 3rd/early 4th caliber prospect
Main reason he has been a Cowboys for all of 5 months. Give the guy a chance.I don’t see how you could be very pleased when he did virtually nothing in training camp and preseason and only has one catch after three games.
Overshown was a third round pick and looked great from the day he arrived in mini camps. All the best players the Cowboys have, looked good in camp, preseason and into the regular season their rookie years. No one was expecting Luke Schoonmaker to look like Travis Kelce right off the bat or have expectations of him being as good as Kelce. But when you draft a player in the second round, you’re expecting them to have a good training camp, and show some flashes early in the regular season. You don’t expect a couple of second year TEs to have more production than them after three games. Spin what you want but so far he’s been a big disappointment.Main reason he has been a Cowboys for all of 5 months. Give the guy a chance.
Like I said, because he doesn't look like Kelce yet, people think he's a bust. Good grief.
Way too early to judge Schoonmaker. Look at Kyle Pitts and see what a generational te has done in the nfl thus far. Schoon is a new arrival and was injured to begin with. I'd give him time as someone in this organization saw something in him to draft him so high. Just my 2 cents worth nothing more.Ferguson is going to be good. Schoon looking like a wasted pick even if he turns out alright
You mean tally a 1,000+ yards as a rookie TE?Way too early to judge Schoonmaker. Look at Kyle Pitts and see what a generational te has done in the nfl thus far. He also wasnt the type of player you spend a top 60 pick on. His tape at Michigan is decent NFL TE2. He is the type of player that goes between 100-150. Not the 2nd roundMain reason he has been a Cowboys for all of 5 months. Give the guy a chance.

Tbh I think they had to reach because of all the TE's getting drafted before their next pick. I also think they didn't believe Ferguson was the answer. Either way, its a luxury but would have been nice to fill a void else where.Way too early to judge Schoonmaker. Look at Kyle Pitts and see what a generational te has done in the nfl thus far.
