Thats right he won the underwear olympics without showing any of that ability on tape lol
It was a bad pick
Pretty much, and time will tell.

Based on???Schoonmaker has been a bigger bust than Mazi.
Based on he was a second round pick who did nothing in training camp and so far after three games has one catch for one yard, but at least it was for a TD. Are you telling me you’ve been pleased with him so far? In Jake Ferguson and Peyton Hendershot had more production after their first three games last season than Schoonmaker. He has been battling plantar fasciitis, which could be a reason he hasn’t performed, but many felt he was a reach in the second round. The panel on ESPN during the draft didn’t seem thrilled with the pick. not to mention he was 25 years old when we drafted him. I didn’t see anyone who covers the draft that liked the pick and most of the fans hated it. This link had him as the biggest disappointment in training camp. By the way, he’s never going to be Travis Kelce. LolBased on???
I swear it's been 5 months since the draft and he isn't playing like Travis Kelce yet so he's a bust. SMH.
I've been very pleased. His injury set him back and only recently hit the field. If they would throw him the ball people will see he is the most athletic TE on the roster. He is a really good player. He just needs people to being so quick to judge him. He didn't have a preseason and will only get better as the season progresses.Based on he was a second round pick who did nothing in training camp and so far after three games has one catch for one yard, but at least it was for a TD. I don’t see how you could be very pleased when he did virtually nothing in training camp and preseason and only has one catch after three games. You’re very easy to please. I certainly don’t see every post on the board, but I haven’t seen anyone who’s been happy with him up to this point. He’s only being judged off of what he’s done so far. No one has placed a final judgment on him. Any player you draft with a premium pick is going to be scrutinized on how they performing from week to week. We don’t know what we would be seeing had he not suffered plantar fasciitis. The team keeps saying he’s fine, but he’s behind Ferguson and Hendershot and that’s not what anyone expected from a second round pick. It’s still very early, we’ll see how he develops as the season progresses.I've been very pleased. His injury set him back and only recently hit the field. Judging him now has NOTHING to do with what the idiots on espn said on draft day or that most of the fans hated the pick or what Fergusion/Hendershot did in their first 3 games last year. Clearly had he not been hurt we would be seeing a different player now. There is a reason the team drafted him.
The pick is ttttrrrraaaasssshhhhhhh. Hes older than ferg and ferg is better than him. Dumb bad pick by jerrahI've been very pleased. His injury set him back and only recently hit the field. Especially when he's sharing snaps and missed a lot due to a foot injury.I'll pick it up for him...never prejudge a 'rook' before even his fourth game of the year.
Hes older than our starter. What are we waiting for?Especially when he's sharing snaps and missed a lot due to a foot injury.
You’re staring his athletic metric numbers on paper and not taking into account what he never showed at Michigan.I've been very pleased. His injury set him back and only recently hit the field. He will probably end up being a wasted pick, but having two starter quality TE's is a real asset. However 1) I dont think Schoonmaker is going to be a starting quality TE and 2) While 2 starting quality TE's is an asset, its also a luxury and we arent complete enough for luxuries in the top 60.Ferguson is going to be good. Schoon looking like a wasted pick even if he turns out alright
We drafted him because we spooked about our TE's. It was a reach for need. Shoonmaker was a late 3rd/early 4th caliber prospectThe problem is most fans don't understand why we drafted him. Then 5 months later he isn't better than Kelce and is a wasted pick. That line of thinking makes NO sense at all. NONE.
Isn't this why we were so high on Schoonmaker?
I agree. But sometimes it boils down to if thats your guy and u have conviction about him in the grand scheme, u just take him. I agree, he was over drafted but in time I think he will be really good. We will be hard to defend if we can ever learn how to use all these guys in the flow of a game.We drafted him because we spooked about our TE's. It was a reach for need. Shoonmaker was a late 3rd/early 4th caliber prospect
on the surface, maybe, but in the grand scheme of things, I trust MM and his plan. Lets see in 2 years what we have. For me, I want these tight ends on the field 80% of the snaps. They need to be involved in what we are doing. Then yes, its a waste if we aint doing that. I agree. I think we been tepid, and timid in the usage of schoon and Fergie..Shoemaker was a wasted pick
....Dak and Mm need 2 get this kid involved in these games more, early and often. Use him like the Chiefs use Kelce. Lean on him. I think he will thrive.
