I was thinking that too and it is too bad if it does happened but I hope he makes the right decision for himself and his family. This is more important that football. He might be out for the rest of his career
Medicine is not always linear, or 100% clear-cut, plus, these analyses here are based on incomplete information. Even the team doctors can only give probabilistic answers about what event preceded another. It's not like every player is getting a bilateral lower extremity ultrasound after every game so that there could be continuous information on the presence or absence of SVT or DVT. Could the cleat leading to a superficial bruise and/or SVT have triggered a DVT? Perhaps. Could they be unrelated, or perhaps he has unusual venous anatomy? Perhaps. Was it the various long plane flights? Perhaps. Did anything else happen along the way? Maybe the Eagle's doctors and Jalen know, or maybe they have a "good idea", but not know with 100% certainty.Wait.. .this started with "he got cleared in the leg and that caused surface level clot"
How did getting cleated in the leg impact his lungs? Are they now saying the leg cleaning was not related, and that there was a bigger issue at play all along, even before he got cleated?
The Eagles are even higher priced and losing. I’ll bet they use this season to see what they have in reserve players. And bet they are active at the trade deadline (N. Smith, Ojomo, Dickerson, Goedert). They realistically could be the last place team. Nonetheless, they’ll figure out a way to get some good out it.The Eagles have had almost everything go wrong for them, when quite frankly this is year 1 of a rebuild. And yet, their team might be better than our "all-in" squad of high-priced losers.
Once Howie has decided the season is lost, you can bet that he'll instruct Nick to lose out. Nick will likely also see the writing on the wall when he's instructed to insert Milton at halftime of a game where they might be leading. The Eagles are even higher priced and losing. I’ll wager Steichen is their head coach next season and he retains Fangio as DC.
