Jalen Ramsey anyone? Dolphins and Ramsey agree to explore trade

He’s been on the downside for several years now. Since the end of his time with the Rams.

Miami would take a HUGE negative cap hit to be rid of him.

Tells me all I need to know.
Yeah in fear of sounding like Mickey….for them to take that hit says where he’s at at this point in his career. Now as a free agent that’s a different discussion but someone will overpay just on his name alone.

In Dallas we don't like to use that word as we feel every year we're getting better and better, saying we're in a rebuild when we're CLEARLY rebuilding is looked down upon in Dallas by the front office
It is. Because they don’t want to have to sell an actual rebuild. Probably don’t know how. The rebuild should’ve happened after the GB game. Now we would’ve been a mess because I don’t think this is the draft you want to start a rebuild with lol.

Cowboys made a big blunder at the draft in 2016. They could have drafted Ramsey and Henry. Instead they got Zeke and Jaylon.

It looks that way. But if we are gonna assume Henry becomes the Henry we saw in Tennessee do we assume Ramsey asks to be traded and is unhappy like he was in Jacksonville?

If they paid most of the money to facilitate the trade and we could take him off their hands for a 5th, would you like that??

I wonder what Miami would want for him? I can't get to Sprtrac but OvertheCAP is confusing when it comes to Ramsey's contract. It looks to me like he gets an option and roster bonus this year which will be paid by Miami. He has a per game bonus coming to him too. If he plays 17 games he gets another $13 million.

He has $24 million still guaranteed which I am assuming is for this year and next. I am spitballing here but I think his CAP number for a new team would be around $14 million to $15 million. Miami takes a $9 million CAP hit if they trade him before June 1. After June 1 they get a save.

The only questions are can he still play at 31? and why is he parting ways with Miami in the first place. A guy with his talents normally sticks with one team until the end of his career, doesn't he?

I would rather have had Jalen Ramsey and Chris Jones. Not that Henry wouldn’t have been a great pick but having a nasty DT like CJ would have been great

They won’t get more than a sixth round pick…in 2026 for him.
