Anybody else think he's been getting all the bad bounces his way?

As soon as he comes in he gets the worst offensive line play, his receivers drop passes left and right and the play calling consists of him handing off the ball 80% of the time.

With that said, I personally like what I see from him as the 3rd qb. I definitely see more potential than Moore. If all goes as planned we'll have Romo starting, the future in Dak and a potential solid back up in Showers.

What do you guys think?

He has shown a lot of patience and thrown the ball away at the right times not trying to force anything. I like the kid and he seems very mature as a QB.

Was this video broadcasted on any network?
Could Showers be reading Cowboyszone? Haha

Either way I'm sure the coaches are evaluating the play around him and breaking down each play when evaluating him. These guys are professionals. They understand it's hard to produce when your line isn't protecting, your back has no holes and your WRs can't catch or get separation.

The organization is going all out to develop Prescott as effectively as possible right now. That's something that only they can decide as to what course is best to follow for the individuals involved and the team as a whole. All we can do as fans is to hope for whatever's best for everyone. I'm sure there's much that the staff has seen in TC practices that we haven't which has lead them to make the determinations that they have.

Needless to say, it remains to be seen what Showers' fate might eventually be. Apparently, the powers that be have decided to pursue developing Prescott first and foremost. Judging from the early returns, who of us, as fans, could legitimately argue with that decision? I'm guessing Showers might do reasonably well to be retained on the practice squad for further development. There's only a limited amount of time and attention to be afforded to the team's developmental QBs. Apparently, the staff feels more confident going with Dak.

Won't be on the 53

I agree, Dak has been impressive thus far but it's only fake football with no scheming.....I don't see Dallas keeping three Quarterbacks on the 53 man roster when they need extra rosters spots and I don't see anyone picking up Showers to put on their 53 man roster, so he should clear waivers and make it to the practice squad...

I agree. But you can't stash Dak on the PS...and that means three QBs on the 53 man roster. Which area of the team gets cut? TE? WR? DL?

He has a very strong and is very mobile. Doesnt seem to have much touch right meow

He is hard to judge at this stage in his development. Im more interested in seeing him next year. He isnt really ready to play live NFL ball right now. Id like to get him on the PS. But i dont mind the 54.

However Id rather the got a much older and experienced guy to mentor Prescott through the season so that Romo can focus more on playing. Maybe a QB that is looking to get into coaching at the end of his career

Clearly Dak is making the 53 man roster, just don't see the point of keeping 3 Qb's on the 53, Showers hasn't shown enough for some team to put him on their 53 man roster so I think you could put him on your practice squad

I don't think Showers will be eligible for the ps would he?
