Clearly Dak is making the 53 man roster, just don't see the point of keeping 3 Qb's on the 53, Showers hasn't shown enough for some team to put him on their 53 man roster so I think you could put him on your practice squad

Sorry I was missing your point. I agree. I am just saying I believe we need 3 QBs and Showers is not one of them. I really like DAK, but believe a rookie shouldn't be your primary backup...but Dak has proved me wrong several times...

I saw that last night. I have to believe that Showers simply did not see Dak's hand. If he did see the offer of a handshake and refused it, then shame on him...but I don't think that was the case.

Anybody else think he's been getting all the bad bounces his way?

As soon as he comes in he gets the worst offensive line play, his receivers drop passes left and right and the play calling consists of him handing off the ball 80% of the time.

With that said, I personally like what I see from him as the 3rd qb. I definitely see more potential than Moore. If all goes as planned we'll have Romo starting, the future in Dak and a potential solid back up in Showers.

What do you guys think?

Feel the same. I trust that the coaching staff knows the lesser surrounding talent he's playing with when he's put in the game. There's something to him that's worth the continued effort in developing.

Folks have to remember that a year of development was effectively taken away from him last year, so he still has a lot of upside and growth.

Showers is getting the short end of the stick he's coming in late and playing with bubble players and scrubs. He hasn't impressed and the players around him has to be part of the reason. Dak has benefitted from playing with some of the starters in the first two preseason games. Dak was drafted, has looked better in practice and is getting an opportunity with better players. The Cowboys have high hopes for him and are giving him a chance to succeed.
