6' 5 3/8" 217. So he is NOT 6-7. or even 6-6. Which to me is good because the number of quality NFL WRs of that height basically is ONE in HISTORY= Harold Carmichal. To me it comes down to two things- is he physical and know how to use his size; and his hands= how good are they.

He is 6'7 with cleats on..... :)

He's apparently extremely 'quick' too. He had a 6.85 3-cone (8th among WRs) and 4.20 shuttle (T-7th among WRs).

And he was pretty productive in college, averaging 14 YPC over 2740 yards and 36 TDs in 3 seasons.

There's really not much to not like about him.

If he improved it by 6 inches, then it'd be in the 37 inch range, which is fantastic.

I admit I don't know much about Hardy, but those numbers seem plenty fine to me! Give me a nice tall receiver with decent speed all day and twice on sundays. 36 TDs in 3 years? That is production.

Does anyone have the numbers on the top 5-6 WR in this draft? Hardy has got to be up there.

37" or so is pretty fantastic, especially given how tall he is too boot. That's a really good advantage over the 6' corners in the league.

no it's not, not at his weight

now if he was 250, and did a 37" vert, than yeah, that's impressive

I still like him though

A 37-1/2" vert would only be the 2nd best among WRs that jumped at the Combine. Not impressive at all.

By the way, here are the numbers for WRs that weighed as much or more than Hardy.

26.5
29.5
28.5
30
31
33
34.5

nope

Newman has a 41" vert, that's impressive, Ware having a 37" or so vert at 252lbs, that's impressive, and both are more explosive than Hardy will ever hope to be

this isn't a great group of receivers, so I don't know how comparing his time w/ others in this class helps his case

What a narrow definition of "impressive." zOMG he's not the best EVAR, so he's not impressive!!!!!11

You 'tard. A 37.5" vert would have been tied for the 6th best vert at the ENTIRE combine. If you want to say that's not impressive, go right ahead.

it's not

I watched him play, and he couldn't outjump crap

and you're being narrow now, because a heavier player who nears his vert total is more impressive

I gotta agree with Theo on this one. 6' 6" + a 37 inch vert is pretty darn good in my book.

It may not be Calvin Johnson-ish, but we don't have a top 5 pick either, do we.

Nate Burleson had a 42" vert, hasn't made him a superstar. Plaxico only had a 33" vert at the combine.

don't get me wrong, I really like Hardy, he's big, has good speed, thanks to his long legs, is fluid, and catches the ball at it's highest point, but he doesn't jump through the roof, which you don't really have to being 6'5" w/ long arms

Dam that is impressive. Those verticals for guys that size have to be about as good as it gets.

I wonder what the best scores are for CB's and LB/DE built guys.

Bob Sanders has 41" vert? No wonder he plays bigger than his size.

I can't help but think if Vernon Davis was on a real team, he'd be tearing up the league right now either.

He's an interesting prospect in that he's a two sport player and those basketball players playing receiver 'usually' end up having good hands, ala Gonzalez...Still, he doesn't have great speed and has demonstrated only modest intangibles apart from his physical attributes...Never saw him (Watch Big 10) really run great routes, honestly...Not sure if he'll be able to get open like he did in college.

Does have some baggage and that may affect his draft position.

Personally, I think he has potential but he's a gamble, no doubt

I am a big Hrady fan, his off the field problems and arrests are behind him and he's been a good guy since, his talent is not in question either, he is a great reciever and he is very quick.

Not a GREAT time, but it doesn't suck for someone that size either. Possession reciever? With that height, and vertical... Eat your heart out guys. Jump ball anyone? rofl

Huh?

There aren't many guys 6'5" or taller that can run a sub 4.50 forty.
