We were talking about pit bulls and their HISTORY of killing people. Then you bring in rapists and murderers. Clearly you knew you were losing and wanted to change the topic.

pretty funny considering there are over 40 different breeds that get mistaken for pit bulls.

and that list was compiled from the media reports, we both know they never get things right.

wow, they blamed a pit because the dogs chain got wrapped around a persons neck and they suffocated (sorry for the loss) but that shows you how stupid that report is burm

Welcome to the world of analogies, burm.

Hang out a bit and I'm sure we'll hit some metaphors.

It wasn't the actual crime that I was getting at.

I can't believe how misinformed most people are about "Pit Bulls".

I have 4 children. I have a Staffordshire Bull Terrior and an American Bull. These animals are so miss represented it's criminal.

I am right there with Brain. Do not try to tell me about these animals. I know better.

Well Kid, then show your own data from somewhere that says Pit Bulls are not repsonsible for more deaths and injuries then any other breed. Until you do you have nothing.

You kidding me, that dog sees the light of day and she's gone. She's a runner for sure. The other one, not so much. He is happy in his shoes but the female visits everybody in the neighborhood. It's funny, well, not really but it kinda is. My Son feeds the dogs and puts them in the Kennel in the mornings. He doesn't do it often but he has done it a couple of times. He just plain forgets to secure the latch. Anyway, I get this call from the Dog Catcher one day and she asks me if I have two dogs named Bugsy and Bailey? I say, "Yes, I do, is there any problem?" She said to me, "Not really. I found them walking down the street and I was going to take them in but Bugsy looked so cute walking down the street in his sweater that I just rounded them up and put them back in the Pen in your back yard." She said that she's never seen them out before and so she knew that it was probably a mistake because the Kennel was wide open and nobody was home. Anyway, I've come home on one other occasion and found a note that basically said she rounded the boys up and brought them home.

True story. Not kidding even a little bit. They are both great dogs. I would not be surprised if Bailey took you up on your offer to skateboard but I'm not sure she would come back anytime soon.

Dog that bit Steelers Harrison's son getting new home

Friday, May 29, 2009

By Lillian Thomas, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Patron has a home.

The pit bull that belongs to Steelers linebacker James Harrison was scheduled to be put down after he bit Mr. Harrison's son, James Harrison III, along with the boy's mother and a friend. But in the last few days Mr. Harrison has sought to find a home for his dog. His agent, Bill Parise, said Mr. Harrison insisted the dog not be placed in a home with children or with an owner who intended to use him for fighting.

The new owner, who has not yet picked up the dog from Triangle Pet Control in McKees Rocks where he has been since the attack on May 20, is a woman who specializes in rehabilitating pit bulls, said Mr. Parise. He declined to identify her or say whether she lives locally or elsewhere. The woman may keep the dog herself after she has worked with him, or she might adopt him out, Mr. Parise said.

Mr. Parise said he consulted with Best Friends, the sanctuary in Utah that took in former Atlanta Falcolns quarterback Michael Vick's dogs, and that they spoke highly of the woman and her abilities to work with pit bulls.

The son of Steelers linebacker James Harrison has been attacked by Harrison’s dog, according to WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh.

Per Ari Hait of WTAE, Harrison’s son was transported to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh with “severe” dog bite injuries. The injuries reportedly are not life threatening.

A Steelers spokesman told Hait that the team is aware of the situation.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Harrison’s son for a full, complete, and rapid recovery.

UPDATE: The on-air version of the story did not mention the type of the dog. The online version indicates that the dog is a pit bull.

He probably was sharing his steroids with the dog and thats why the dog is so aggressive. :laugh2:
