James Washington looks better on tape than his stats show

This kid will do well for us.

Just a few of the comments on him from Steelers fans. Looks like he was well liked.

Solid WR 4 for Pittsburgh who would be a WR 2 on many teams. No drama player who puts his head down and works.
I DON'T GET WHY HE HASN'T GOTTEN MORE PLAYING TIME?! HE'S BIG, PHYSICAL, TALENTED, & IS A LEGIT DEEP THREAT.
The dude makes some of the craziest grabs, I’m talking AB level plays, he just didn’t ever get that chemistry with BTR
As a Steelers fan I love seeing all these comments especially positive. I’m sooooo happy for him because he never got the chance to reach his full potential now he has a shot with the Cowboys. WE ARE HAPPY FOR YOU JAMES
i love washington and always have since he joined our team , dudes a stud , watching this reminds me cause a lot of the times we forget how damn good he is because hes wr4
He's great at combat catches.

Your initial comment was that Washington couldnt beat out 4 or 5 guys there. So are you changing that number now to 3? Im a little confused by your lying and your flip flopping.

If you could say those 3 guys from memory, then you should know that those 3 WR's are all good #2 quality types at least.

Your lie about them being Randy Moss and Rice not withstanding.

You asked me to name the 3 receivers in front of him so I’m confused why you’re trying to pivot now.

:lmao:

These are the kinds of players we as fans have to hope turns out great out of sheer luck. But I don't know a thing about this player.

Thats ok, you arent the only one. Plenty of fans on here that dont know who Washington was.

At first you thought Washington was the 6th WR on their team. So I can only assume that you have no clue who the guy is. But Im glad you now changed your tune to 4th WR after challenged to educate yourself on the Pitt WR corps.

Your lie about Moss and Rice not withstanding.

Luuuuulz, I have you pegged.

The comedic irony of you calling folks liars and then commencing to type out lies in the very next sentence.

:lmao2:

When you say something dumb like this, its pretty clear to all you have no clue who the guy is. I cut and pasted your words:

Why couldn’t he beat out the #4-5 guys there?

Here is your blatant lie about what some of us were saying about the guys in front of Washington:

Lulz,
folks wanna act like he had Megatron, Jerry Rice, and Randy Moss in front of him.

Lets just face facts here...................you have no clue about Washington or the Steelers WR's.

I thought it was a decent, low risk, pickup.

Most of us thought it was a reasonable draft pick (value-wise...60th overall) by Pittsburgh when they took him

Not sure what people are saying about him being a deep burner.....he is not that.
He's 5'11" and has average or maybe even slightly below average NFL WR speed at 4.54.

But he has a shot to contribute here.

fwiw, Dallas is not finished adding WRs this offseason.
I bet they draft at least one and they may add another via FA afterward.
So Washington could still find himself out of the top 3.

That's cool. I'm hoping for the best. This is the kind of stuff the Jones boys look for. I hope he tears it up.

Wait, did you or did you not ask me to name the three receivers in front of him?

Yes or no?

Speak up Boy Roy.

40 times aren't the full picture when it comes to deep speed. He beats guys deep period.

I knew the 3 receivers in front of Washington, the question was whether you could name them without looking them up.

And considering you thought Washington was 5th or 6th on the depth chart, you clearly had no clue about who Washington was or what the Pitt WR depth chart looked like.

The fact that you most likely googled the depth chart to answer my question just makes it that much more laughable.

Then of course your blatant lies about Moss and Rice was a pathetic way to wiggle your point out.

You responded to my exact question directly, after it was obvious you knew little about the Steelers passing game or where Washington was on the WR depth chart.

Are you denying saying he couldnt even beat out the 4th and 5th receivers on Pitt? That would be silly after I cut and pasted your exact words.

Yes, you asked me a direct question and I provided you a direct answer.

What can’t you compute?

Once I provided the answer and got your card pulled you started pivoting and cobbling together bits and pieces from other posts to hastily prop up a sloppy strawman, and that doesn’t even speak to all the lying you’ve been doing in sheer irony.

Folks know your schtick…

Wow, you googled the depth chart!!!!! LOL My hero

Look how proud of yourself you are.

At least I forced you to educate yourself. Now maybe you wont say something so laughable as to say that Washington was 5th or 6th on the depth chart. Is someone supposed to respect your knowledge with that kind of comment?

And then of course you cant escape your lie about Moss and Rice. Any chance you want to provide the post where I or someone said that? Yep, I didnt think so.

Yeah, looks like the rest of the league missed out on signing this superstar.

Guess teams couldn’t muster up enough cash to beat the $1.187M contract he signed.
You mean he's making more than Sprinkle and McKeon? Ha ha ha

SJ is a dumpster diver when it comes to fa wr and te talent Acquisition. Lol

He'll take any teams top skilled draft bust for under 1.5 million. Lol.

I think hes a little too concerned about value over Quality.

I guess that's how ya gotta be when you overpay for every player that were "Our Guys" lol.

Considering what we had after trading Cooper and watching Wilson sign elsewhere, I don't mind this pickup at all. But I also don't know if he'll be able to step up into a No. 2 role or even be a great No. 3 based on his career so far.

With Dallas possibly being without Gallup for at least a few games, though, I expect receiver to be high on our draft list and then we've got a good problem instead of one that absolutely depends on Washington playing well. First, two or three games may be Lamb, Washington and the rookie with Brown and maybe Fehoko sprinkled in. If the first two games are Lamb, Washington, and either Brown or Fehoko, I can't see that being pretty.
