The only issue I have with Kupp is that the Rams got rid of him and brought in Adams. That does sound suspicious.

When you have Jonathan Mingo instead of a 4th round pick, why would you even consider a former all pro and Super Bowl MVP?

What Jane didn't say was he's still part of the Rams. We are NOT trading for him.......we could very well be "in the mix" once he's released and depending on his price. In other words, I wouldn't read into this coz as long as the Rams are trading to trade him, no team is interested.

I think we all knew from the beginning that Kupp wasn’t coming here for several reasons.

Although it may be wise to replace the type of weapon Beasley was, who worked well with Dak. Don’t know why they never addressed that, but Kupp isn’t that player. More of a 1A, or high end 2 at this point. Again, not coming here….he will get a decent payday from a contender. We are doing neither.

They did replace Beasley for one year, with Randall Cobb in 2019 who had a nice year as the number three. Since then you are right, they really haven't had that slot receiver security blanket-type that most QB's love.

If nothing changes. 5 wins, the HC gets blown out year 1, and it's full on rebuilding time. They will blame it on the HC, never pointing the finger at themselves for being derelict of duty.

Possibly.
But Cooks was to be the guy to stretch the field. Be the speed guy.
That did not work out.
All Kupp may be able to do is be a possesion guy. Which they do need that as well.

I like Kupp, wanted them to draft him. And am not opposed to them bringing him in. But is he that difference maker at this point. Maybe he can help.

Right now, I think a receiver is a must in either the first or the second. We have Lamb, but we have no No. 2 receiver. Free agency isn't over, though, so we still could get a Brandin Cooks-quality No. 2.
