If Dallas was going to spensd big money they would have kept Ware and Hatcher fact is the cap does matter. People can claim it doesn't but it does. If other teams are 30 mill under the cap and we are having to release players to get under it then it damn sure matters and it also means they can out bid the Cowboys. It is the fact of the matter

Draft, in addition to any other vets cut before the season starts. Possibly a trade but that is unlikely you never know. No need to push the panic button on March 18th.

While Jared Allen immediately makes the defense better, I always find it amusing how our fans tend to hang the balance of the future on one free agent, regardless of other factors.

Like I said, this off-season reminds me of the Jared Gaither stuff, who turned out to be a monumental bust outside of Baltimore.

Good point, but I would like Allen here on a one year deal. I doubt the thought of George Selvie and Jeremy Mincey coming off the edge is keeping opposing offensive line coaches awake at night. If nothing else, Allen would draw double teams here....

Draft a pair of rookies and hope they tandem for 20 sacks, which is what just walked out the door.

Or sign a couple more scrub "rotation" guys.

Or we can hope the opposing offenses are too busy laughing at our NFL Europa DL to actually run any plays
