The Cowboys opponents are now rushing for less than 3 yards per carry at 2.93, which will probably put them tops in the NFL with the most stingy run defense in the league.

Come get your crow "FA Bust" proclaimers .... get it while its hot.

you know what thats a great point which i think went greatly under appreciated around on this board. one of those things where you dont see the gaudy numbers from him but the proof is there. i know his posistion in the 3-4 wont have great stats but i bet thats really going unoticed around the league caught between the T.O and other players on the defense making plays. great post

Don't forget Jay Ratliff he is a scrappy change of pace who gets the job done when Fergy needs a breather by the way does anyone know how LaRoi Glover has done in St. Louis, I'm a little curious.

I dogged the crap out of Ferguson last year, and this year he's making me eat my crow. Keep it up Fergy.

People whine about Ferguson not making tackles or getting pressure, and that just shows their ignorance in regards to play NT in the 3-4. Fergy has been unbelievable this year, and he is one hell of a player.

Roshi understands the job of an NT. That puts him in the minority on this board.

I watch the Dline very closely.. And last year there we were getting pushed back, but not this year. We are pushing back and Ferguson is the ring leader.

Agreed, Fergy does his job in the middle and we are playing great against the run. Canty/Spears have also improved against the run this year too which helps...

Have you been watching this year? He's been one of our most consistent defensive players all year.

Ferguson was a bust!!

This run D needs to keep it up, take out TIki, and let Manning be the one who has to beat you.

I didn't think Ferguson was a problem last year. I know that Jason admitted that he didn't play as well as he wanted to last season, but he was still a solid anchor who held his own.

This season, I think he's not only held his own, but he's actually been more of a force. He's consistently owned the middle of the line of scrimmage, and he's getting quite a bit of penetration.

I have a hunch that some people just didn't like him because he was coming in and taking Glover's spot. Others wanted someone who would get them 5 sacks a year. Ferguson has been a positive addition to this team though - this year and last.

I don't think he was ever completely healthy last year.

Ferguson is my favorite linemen (damn near my favorite player!)

Why? Because he does his job better than anyone else on the team on a consistent basis.

We've played teams that are averaging a lot more yards per game and yards per carry than we've allowed. So the numbers must be low because we've been really good at stopping the run so far.
