This is what scares me in close games our coaches are going to muff it up. They can only call plays when the score is way in our favor.

We held them to 20. The best coach in the NFL wouldnt be calling a TE screen for RAC-deficient Witten. I promise.

The best coach in the NFL would likely protect his rookie QB and trust his D to get the ball back.

I don't see it, play calling was fine. Execution failed us today. This sucks for sure, but Garrett didn't cut the ball back up the field. Garrett didn't drop a pass that paid folks should catch. I'm mad as hell at the outcome but our arrow is still pointing up!
You're right about that, but oddly enough, we always look terrible without Romo.

Jerry has said that Garrett was part of the family, and we all know what cushy jobs the jones family have :/

,
Play calling in the latter second half was atrocious. We had them then they resort to calling stupid plays. What year was it when Witten ran a successful screen or did good on a flat pass. Dumb play calling.
My only wish is...I wish we had called some quick runs with 21 rather than push the boundary!

I've really just grown used to losing.

There was a time when a loss like this would devastate me for days. Would take me while to get over it.

Now, one unreal mess after the next with no chance for change has made me apathetic to the whole thing.

I'm not about to start a bash Jerry thread, but when it becomes the same old crap year after year, which is turning into decade after decade, knowing it's never going to change, the frustrating part is moving behind me. I'm just getting used to it. I expect it.

I know he is going to keep at it his way. The Dallas Cowboys are a monumentally successful business and Jerry turned it into that. Good for him, but we aren't going to win with the culture and philosophy the way it is, and it isn't going to change for a very long time, if ever.

The red headed idiot strikes again. Hopefully Jerry will sober up enough to finally realize his mistake that has wasted Romo's career.

At some point if you are constantly talking about how lack of execution failed us, that's on the coaches.

He's a mediocre coach.

Maybe, but let's give the best coach in the NFL the Cowboys' defensive personnel.
Our lack of situational awareness during key closing moments of games (an issues that's plagued us throughout the Garret era) was our primary undoing. Dunbar has a chance to run out to stop clock - cuts up. TWill has a clear view of the sideline with no TOs and cuts back. It comes down to being savvy in key situations. That's coaching.

That was the point in the game the Cowboys really needed Romo's veteran savvy. I can guarantee he would have reminded everybody to get out of bounds. Like I said last year, Romo is a better playcaller than Garrett or Linehan.

No disrespect to Dak Prescott, who I think handled himself very well today.

Look at the bright side we are no longer a .500 ball club.

JG is a loser of a HC and has had more built in excuses.

Wade got a bad rap. There has been one constant and its JG nothing has changed. Sorry it is what it is.

I respectfully disagree...however I do see your point. I'm not going argue or try and prove a point...I'm a life long fan...go Cowboys! I still believe!
