Wait, the Seahawks designed a gameplan to take advantage of the strengths of their players? What a novel idea!

Princeton didn't offer those courses.

Wow, Coach Carroll is the greatest coach of all time. That game plan is brilliant!!

Maybe we should put in a punt block play ourselves, since it is clearly not in our play book.

Since you cannot smell the sarcasm, I'll spell it out.

31 teams not named The Dallas Cowboys not only have blocked punts, fake field goals, successful short yardage plays, high percentage passes, alternate plays when gameplans from 1995 stop working, and trick plays as available options every game, they also figure out how to prevent them when other teams come a callin for a tilt.

more than anything else...I just want to know why Dallas players don't look excited to play football. When I watch the other teams...its as if there players have been chomping at the bit all week for Sunday to arrive. When I watch Dallas players they look lifeless - even rookies who should be jumping around at the fact that they even made it to NFL. Is it not fun to play for cowboys?

My point is that Garrett has no control over the players not executing the plays. Vince Lombardi himself would have just had to stand there and watch the Cowboys lose yesterday.

garrett is intimately involved in player selection ("there is no one here garrett did not want" per jerry)

he has been the OC for 5+ years

he has been the HC for almost 2 years

if he still "does not have control over the players executing the plays" he needs to find another line of work

Well supposedly teams take on the personality of their head coach. Does Garrett look like he has any fun ever? The coach before him was a living, breathing marshmallow. They can't help it.

this has been bothering me for many years now. i really wish i had the answer. even in the 5-11 years the team at least showed emotion at times. we showed it vs the giants but it's never consistent.

i could very easily see them coming out like wild dogs vs the bucs and then lay another egg vs the bears. that's how this team operates, up and down, win one and lose one until the season ends and we're 8-8 b/c we couldn't stack wins together.

Sorry fellas, but it's middle of the pack for another decade.

Thats a tough read... partly because thats where we have been and partly because it is very possible.

If we catch all of those dropped passes, finish all of the routes, and don't fumble to start the game, Garrett looks like a much better coach. We would have scored more points, our time of possession would have been higher, and our defense would have been on the field less, giving the Seahawks less time with the ball and our defense more rest.

Thats the thing. IF players do their part then he looks like a genius. So what is keeping them from doing their part??

I am not sure where we are with this? Do we and it doesnt work or quite frankly, dont we?
